Seeing a lot of posts about injury problems and issues in attack.
Yeah it's not ideal for firmino and minamino to be out but I don't agree it leaves us with no back up, Elliot played out wide for the whole of last season and ox has played wide and false nine and even curtis Jones used to be more advanced before loop moved him back so sure we could utilise out midfield options and use those players in attack if subs or options were needed on top of origi.

Bobby’s going to be a miss as he gives us that option from the bench or to even start. Not sure how long he’s out for but with a 2 week international window hopefully it’s not too long after. I want to see Minamino get more chances this season but as it stands he’s not played any minutes so him missing only causes a gap on the bench which Origi or Jones can take up easily.

While they can be used, I think there is an issue if they are out for a sustained period or a number of times throughout the season. Using midfield players in different positions cost us last year. I know it’s not quite the same because like you said these players have played these positions before. However, sometimes I feel we lack ideas with our usual front 3 let alone having to use midfield players who don’t naturally know where to run in behind or drop in.

people really conflate our injuries as if is unique in the world of sports. I mean, yea last season was unique. but in general any squad losing their starting striker and a squad player would mean you're needing to use your squad.

probably only ManU have the kind of depth that liverpool fans on here crave.
