Great result performance still not quite there. I like Elliott but Trent needs a more athletic midfielder on his side beat Southampton and look at who we can get in early January.

Defence and shielding the defence still wobbly. Trent just needs to work solely on his defending. He’s clearly a great talent but if he doesn’t improve defensively I can see him moving into midfield. He’s an incredible talent with his passing range, vision etc buts if someone offered me a right footed Robertson to take his place I’d do it. Robertson doesn’t have the same talent but his all round game defensively and offensively makes him a perfect fall back in my opinion, something I cannot say about Trent regrettably. VVD needs to take charge at the back again. The amount of times he let's balls bounce these days rather than just winning the initial header is worrying. Konate and Robertson were great. Top win lads.

Unless Elliott is injured or suffers a severe loss of form he's not going to be dropped.
How does he mature into the player we suspect that he can be by sitting on the bench?

Great result. The performance esp in that second half? I could do without. Soaking pressure has NEVER been something we were good at and frankly, we're not good at it. That rubbish needs to end cos we easily could have thrown that away on another day.

Trent was okay BUT needs to just focus on his game and defend better at the basic level. The rest will come. He also needs to stop being so petulant and over-reactive when things don't go his way or if he thinks the ref should give him a decision. Just defend the play, clear the ball and ask questions later rather than whining while the oppo. is on top of you like Sessegnon was.

We've been excellent at soaking up pressure in the past. We've scored a lot of valuable goals by doing just that then hitting the opposition quick on the counter.
