I’ve read an article on the squads supposed weekly / yearly salaries. I know these could be way off the mark but what intrigued me most were the salaries of 3 players who have been linked with moves away are supposedly on. Lallana, Shaq and Lovren.

I can see why the club could be open to selling these players as none are first choice and are on more money than some of our key players (Allison, Trent, Robbo, Wiji etc). I can see us trying to tie down quite a few players in the future and I would expect a number of them to get bumper pay rises with Trent and Mane at the top of that list.

Lallana and shaqiri are on more than Alison? That's amazing. Lovren has been a great servant for us and lallana WAS great. Still has some decent football in him imo.

It's because they have been here for years and signed new contracts. Robbo and Alison are still on their first contracts I believe. I imagine their next contracts will be huge. Trent is still u21, not surprised he isn't on huge wages yet. Will be of course.

hmm wasnt one of the issues with Rodgers that he didn't get control of wages. I do remember talk about the club wanting to move to incentive based contracts.
