Just looking thru the posts and it's interesting about Napoli open to a high offer for Koulibaly, aged 29.

My question is at what time do Liverpool consider selling Mane or Salah for example before their ability is on the demise. Is there an arguement to sell and receive good money for Klopp to go and find the next Salah or Mane?

Agree0 Disagree0

Both players have only just turned 28 in last few months so they are in their prime and likely to be for another few years yet so I wouldn’t worry about it for at least a year or two at the minimum- unless they want to leave of course.

OP, they are already planning for their departure within the next couple of years, IMO Klopp and his trusty henchmen in Micheal Edwards, Barry Hunter etc don't sleep. For ex., they had been scouting Minamino for the past 4 years if you believe David Maddock.

IMO, Werner and Minamino were pretty much ear-marked to replace either one of Mane or Salah (Werner) and Bobbie (Minamino) in the next cojuple of years. Both were pretty much in the fold until we pulled out of the Werner deal.

Werner could have slotted in near anywhere in the fron three while Minamino according to his ex manager at RB Salzburg Jesse Marsch, is more tailored to Firmino's skills set at least on the face of it. And I'm pretty sure Klopp and his posse are still on the prowl for new talent to come in so don't worry your pretty little head about it, man. We're in good hands.

I wonder what Klopp and his team think of Newcastle’s Saint-Mazimin?
That lad can play.

The only thing Saint Maximin lacks is end product and consistency. Good footballer and absolutely sound bloke by all accounts.

Juicer, the Saint-Maxim kid can ball, no doubt BUT is still a bit raw and kind of a headless chicken. He needs more time and under the right manager to develop even further. Let's see what happens.

So Saint-Maximin is a better option even though he lacks the end product but Traore who now has 10 assists isn't?

RHLT, I’ve no objection to Traore to be honest. Think he is a bit basic in terms of his approach to the game, but he’s effective. Plus all his coaches speak highly of him and the fact he’s knuckleD down and worked the last few years speaks volumes.

The Newcastle lad is a poor man's traore.

Salah turned 28 only last week, no evidence whatsoever that mane, firmino and salah can't sustain their level for another 2 or 3 years at least. Aguero, Aubameyang, vardy, Jimenez, lewandowski, dzeko, benzema are examples of attackers who could still have excellent seasons into their 30s. Makes no sense to look now at replacing them in their peak years.
