I said in summer that this season would be our last ‘top top’ season with this core group of players because they’ll get found out, the style we play takes a lot of them.
I was adamant that we need a goal scoring striker, a box to box CM and a CB as a bare minimum.
If C.V. wasn’t a thing this summer we’d see a clear out of some players (matip, gini, Milner, salah/ mane. Core players) .
I understand that without fans it’s completely different playing matches. But I don’t understand why we’re playing so poorly at the moment.

CB x2 needed (White, Upamecano)
CM needed (Bissouma)
Stilted needed (Haaland)

Those 4 players for me would be the next wave of quality coming into the squad. And for me it is definitely needed.

I still believe we can win the league but we’re going to have to improve big time.

Were not playing poorly at all. Every team we play is sitting back and hoping to hit us on the break because we're having to play 2 midfielder at center back. Things just aren't quite clicking in the box for the front 3 because they have no space and are reliant on taking half chances and instant control in a packed box. You want white and upamencano? So 4 top centre backs then? We won a lot of games just getting over the line last season and this season were not. We haven't turned into a bad team we've been unlucky. If gomez and virgil weren't out we'd be about 6 points clear at the top by now. This is an over reaction.

{Ed0666's Note - shoulda woulda coulda. We’re third because we can’t penetrate a low block or a packed defense. We need Jota back more than anyone.

I aren’t wrong though am I? Yes there are a lot of factors contributing to our poor form (which is evident, dominating possession doesn’t mean anything if you don’t create solid chances with it) but I think even with a fully fit squad we wouldn’t be performing to a really good level I think we’d still be flat.
I never said we will sign those players because it’s unlikely givens the C. V. situation (which I mentioned before) .
But they’re the players that should come in and give us fresh legs, fresh ideas.
Ultimately I trust Klopp and back him and the club. But we are seeing signs that some of our core players aren’t hitting the required level.

Moreton_Red, did you post this when we were top of the league? Did you think like this when we pummeled Palace 7-0? Uf that is true then, I hail your consistency. If not, let it go, mate. You are only ranting about stuff you would have liked to happen (clearly you knew we had NO money to sign the players you mentioned but who cares about reality, yeah? ) BUT knew wouldn't happen in terms of signings so in the end, you are moaning about nothing, really.

I said last season that this season would be our last season as a top team, a serious threat across all competitions. I said that due to our style of play being so intense that players will decline following this season.
It’s clear to see that things need freshening up, I think we will sign 3/ 4 players in summer.
I’m not moaning about anything just stating the fact that the squad needs freshening up to maintain our high standards.
A CB is a must (2 if Mario leaves which I think he will)
A goal scoring striker is a must.
A CM is a must (Can see keita leaving coupled with Gini leaving, add a younger, hungry player)

Financial restrictions might prevent this. But for me we definitely need them if we want to maintain the high standards we set.
