Good morning Ed001. Been very impressed with Stefan Bajcetic this pre-season he seems to be playing like he has more than capable of stepping up and getting more first team games. What's your thoughts on him please? Do you have cover him to be in and around the first team?

Brilliant. What's the point of the academy if the manager is unwilling to utilise it? Much sooner see Bajcetic get minutes than waste money on an outsider to cover Fabinho.

I'd like to see bajectic start against city. Would be good to play him against the best ( albeit they won't be 100% fit) and in a game where the result is irrelevant.

I’m happy with Bajcetic being the cover for Fab. He looks very capable and it uses our own resources.

Sends a positive message to the other young lads that there is a route into the first team if you’ve the talent and work ethic. I think give the lad the last 25/ 30 minutes in each premier game, give him the starts in cup games. Gives him the experience.

Not sure Fab would be happy not completing a single 90 mins in the league this season. Minutes in this squad are extremely hard to come by. I don’t see Bajcetic getting 38 league appearances at the age of 17.

Bajcetic seems talented but let's not go overboard with 38 games and such. You can easily burn him out if he's not mentally and physically prepared. Go with a goal of 10 games or appearances and see how he grows and develops. Make it a 2-3 year plan.

Has Bajcetic played last season for the first team? Or has he only played in the preseason friendlies that many on here say are just for training and fitness?

Are fans again over estimating the ability and future progression of yet another young player? Surely he's nowhere near good enough or experienced enough to play instead of Fab in the PL, surely that's Hendo or Thiago first.

Was only a week or two ago it was Morton who will take a starting place. We still need to see if Jones, Elliot and Carvalho can cement a starting place out at the very least take Keitas minutes.

Spot on, Macgoveb. Let the kid grow and learn at his own pace. The overhyping of teen age prospects need to stop. But I know it won’t.
