I’ve heard a rumour, more of a prayer, slots doing the right thing and stepping down at midnight.

Agree7 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 23:05:51
Why midnight.

Agree5 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 23:18:13
😂 Why wait for midnight?

He's not stepping down, mate.

Agree25 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 23:19:45
That's when the blood oath will be finished.

Agree17 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 23:21:46
Can't see this being true, sadly, I think we just need to accept he's staying. Just worry for Champions League qualification...

Agree5 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 23:22:54
He's not going to turn into a pumpkin is he?

Agree16 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 23:30:03
Because he'll turn into a pumpkin otherwise.

Agree4 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 23:35:18
At midnight he turns into Teen Wolf.

Ken

Agree7 Disagree0

15 Apr 2026 00:37:28
Sorry, fellas, was taking the mick, thought the prayer bit would be a give away. 🤣 I just need him gone.

Agree5 Disagree0

15 Apr 2026 05:52:29
Fantastic rumour!! No logic to wait until midnight unless the club have some sort of sacrificial alter under the Kop.

Agree1 Disagree0

15 Apr 2026 09:59:21
He turns into a Eerewolf in London at Midnight (howlllllllllllllllllll) - Warren Z.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 17:55:57
I've heard a rumour that we are looking at the finances of bringing Vini Jnr, to the club.

Agree2 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 18:06:35
Vini and Dembele, FSG must be selling the Red Sox.

Agree10 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 18:08:14
Hahah couldn't think of anybody worse to bring in.

Agree50 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 18:10:35
Good because we're crying out for a right footed left winger. Especially one who's more of a prima Donna than a footballer and bonus if he wants triple our highest paid players' wages.

Agree12 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 18:07:21
Was the source your arse? Because that's what anyone would be talking out of with this one

Agree37 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 18:11:09
Give your head a wobble... Total click bait, mate.

Agree6 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 18:18:15
Thanks for the rumour, David. Can't say it thrills me but appreciate the post.

Agree6 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 18:52:34
I'm sure Alonso will be thrilled to work with him again lol.

Agree15 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 19:02:44
Vini & Dembele? Are we assembling a team of the biggest dickheads in Europe or something?

Agree39 Disagree5

{Ed025's Note - love it VV..

14 Apr 2026 19:08:14
Vini was part of the problem at Madrid, and getting Alonso sacked. I can see that working well along with work horse Dembele.

Agree7 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 19:08:22
"I heard a rumour" = I read a 2-week-old article on Yahoo Sports.

Agree7 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 19:23:16
Bournemouth is a pile of **** now, I have lived there for years, left but weekly return at least, it has changed - downward spiral, the town centre has so many closed up shops, like many other places.

Description from locals is that the place is more like a war zone, maybe that's why his wife can't settle.

Rumours the other day suggested he was going to Mancs, I know ppl here would like him, maybe Spain is on his radar.

Agree3 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 19:50:44
Bournemouth no different to any other city or town, mate. Boarded up shops, pubs, and restaurants; just charity shops and nail bars abound on high streets across the country.

Grim.

Agree13 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 21:55:28
There was an interview with some Ethiopian refugee's who had been housed in Bournmouth, who said they wanted to go home as it was safer (despite years of civil war).
Bournmouth has been in decline for 2 decades.

Agree7 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 22:33:32
It's like that recent Dembele post. I don't get anyone turning their nose up, both would walk in the door and be the best player at a club by an absolute mile.

Agree1 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 23:20:57
I sincerely hope that the rumour is wrong.

Agree2 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 23:32:31
We can't even afford Vinicius Sr.

Agree5 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 17:25:37
Iraola leaving Bournemouth at the end of the season. That's him and Alonso available to us. We're like kids in a sweet shop. We will end up with one that's already been sucked (make your own jokes up).

Agree9 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 17:48:11
I don't actually know what to say in reply, Rome...

Agree11 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 17:56:59
I have a habit of posting stuff and getting no replies, Shanklys! Hope you're well, mate.

Agree7 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 18:01:54
I am Rome! Enjoy the game tonight!!!

Agree2 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 18:03:44
Well, you have my reply too, mate.

Both managers have good tactics. I hope we end up with anyone that will connect and blend well with the fans.

Agree4 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 18:20:29
Iraola looks unlikely now, he's surely off to Spain.
If your family can't settle in Bournemouth, I doubt you're coming to Liverpool or anywhere else in the UK.

Not convinced by Xabi.

Weird as it sounds, someone suggested we've had talks with Maresca, but I brushed it off.

Agree6 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 18:20:53
I'd take Iraola all day personally... like Charlie with his golden ticket. Leave the kids and sucking to you, Rome, mate, haha.

Agree2 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 18:41:48
Rome, I know a few women that don't mind that...(don't ask how I know, best off not knowing such things).

Agree1 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 18:40:00
Not surprised to hear that Ron, Spanish don't travel well. If can't settle on the English Riviera you definitely struggle up north.

How about Hoeness? Is he an option if it doesn't work out with Alonso?

Agree4 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 19:20:28
English Riviera? Have you been to Bournemouth recently? It's a complete dive, not much better than Blackpool.

Agree4 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 22:29:00
What about Sebastian Hoener? I know we looked at him along with Slot.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 22:36:19
Alonso much better. I'd like to see Iraola go win a title first he didn't really do anything of note at Bournemouth. Took them from mid table to mid table.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 23:26:35
15th is not from "mid table".
They narrowly avoided relegation when he arrived.

Agree1 Disagree0

15 Apr 2026 02:17:23
Happy with either and I love what Iraola has done at Bou, but if his family is an issue, I'd rather Alonso. I'd hate having another coach that has the stress of his family being unhappy in the city or far away.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Apr 2026 08:20:25
Nukem, when was the last time you were in Blackpool. 🙄

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Apr 2026 13:42:51
Is going from 15th to currently 11th over 3 years without a single trophy anything to write home about? I think there's a step between Bournemouth manager and Liverpool. He should go to Spain, Germany or Italy and win a title first. Alonso ticks too many boxes.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 15:01:12
Good afternoon gents. Did the windows for “Player X” yesterday.

Asked him about the rumour being passed around our place last week that Slot will go before the end of the season and surprisingly he didn’t shut it down. But he did say he is Definitely going at the end of the season at the latest, but the next coach “isn’t sorted” and it could be someone “very interesting”. I asked if he meant Xabi and he shook his head. Wonder who he means. Will push next week.

He told me if we get in the Champions League #26/27 we’re having another Big summer. 6 additions planned. 3 big fish going straight into the XI. I said I’d replace him 😉.

Then he said he’d replace me... There’s no loyalty in the windows game anymore so it wouldn’t shock me.

I’ll leave you with a big one: I’ve been told on strong authority by another source (private) that the club have a meeting arranged in a fortnight in a luxury hotel in Paris. This meeting is with the representatives of the lad they want in to replace 🇪🇬👑. 👀

I’m going to run this by my player next week. I’m going to buy him a croissant 🥐 ready for our post window clean brew and maybe wear a beret and if he doesn’t take the hint I’ll just ask. Keep you posted!

Who’s ready for a miracle tonight?? Stranger things have happened 🏆 #7

Agree36 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 15:34:38
Love it mate, make sure you buy him a 🥐.

Tbf, the nostalgia and the potential he has means I would love it to be Xabi, but the clear and obvious choice for me is Enrique.

A proven winner who would come in and seamlessly fit, you factor in also some of the amazing football his teams play, they really are a joy to watch.

Keep us updated.

Ken.

14 Apr 2026 17:53:11
That's the best Rumour post in ages mate. 👌

Agree6 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 17:50:19
Jeez FSW you must live in a Charles Dickens Novel.

Agree4 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 17:55:55
The fact that the club would share this level of detail with a player who would then go on to share this level of detail with an almost stranger who would then go on to share this level of detail with a group of faceless strangers. And yet it still satisfies my daily transfer dopamine hit. Thank you.

Agree10 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 18:10:54
Good one, Cleansheets.

I think you might be talking about Yan Diomonde. :)

Agree3 Disagree0

15 Apr 2026 04:21:11
Excellent rumour, can't wait to hear what your player says next. 👍

Agree1 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 14:13:54
Iraola heading back to Spain this summer according to reports, after failing to agree a new contract with Bournemouth. Apparently his family haven't settled and Athletic Bilbao is the likely destination.

Agree8 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 14:36:07
Of note, Sky have made no mention of us as being a potential destination, which means it's likely he's off our list.

Agree4 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 16:24:05
Arne, Xabi or Eddie Howe, so. 😉

Agree1 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 17:34:52
As long as he doesn't go to ManU I'm fine with it.

Agree3 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 17:45:53
Bilbao will be very lucky to have him if he goes there. Fantastic club.

He will do fantastic. Good fit.

Still hope we are in the mix.

Agree4 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 17:51:00
Agreed, Ron. He would make them a proper team.

Agree2 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 18:52:12
He's on the list, Davey, just not at the top.

Agree3 Disagree0

15 Apr 2026 04:22:31
Can I vote for Eddie Howe getting the United job please?

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Apr 2026 10:44:34
WDW4 - Southgate has it in the bag.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 14:11:24
I know there’s a few on here that want Iraola as our next manager. But I’ve heard he wants to go back to Spain with Bilbao as it’s now confirmed he will leave Bournemouth at the end of the season.

Agree7 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 16:50:57
Bilbao or Utd are both likely destinations according to the agents gossip corner.

Agree5 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 17:35:26
Anywhere but ManU please.

Agree3 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 18:45:24
Man United don't make sensible decisions.

Agree1 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 08:03:17
Hi Ed001 / ITK

As we know that Alisson could leave this summer or next one.
Can you share us info of any GK who the Club would bring in to replace him?

Agree3 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 08:59:29
The Club has Mamardashvilli. He is the replacement, it would be who gets promoted to the 2 slot.

Agree12 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 10:48:23
Karma, Jaro, Pecsi, Woodman.

Agree3 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 11:30:17
I think GM will grow into the role and will be a surprisingly good signing. Need to make sure we're coaching him well.
Being a GK in the PL is different from other leagues. It's a lot more physical and there are a lot more arial challenges.

He's improving IMO.

Kicking is a concern.

Agree17 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 11:55:31
We have a non existent midfield which provides not protection for our defence and, consequently, a defence which is all over the place and provides no protection for the keeper. In that context it is very hard to judge Mamardashvili fairly, though it must be said that, but for his efforts against PSG, that would have been a cricket score.

Worth also pointing out that Jaros is a very very capable keeper who I think is worth a try.

Agree18 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 12:23:37
I would be going for Robin Risser from Lens. I wouldn't be against flipping Marmar and letting Jaros and Risser battle it out for no1.

Agree2 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 12:55:52
Marmalade is not good enough to be LFC keeper. If we have any serious intent on winning silverware next season, we require much better than him. Nothing I've seen from him so far shows any indication otherwise. imo only.

Agree5 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 13:00:43
I'm a fan of Marmalade at LFC, although I've often torn him to shreds. I'd take the pith and sell him to Sevilla.

Agree6 Disagree13

{Ed025's Note - nice Robby, but he has stepped up while Ali has been out and got you out of a jam..

14 Apr 2026 13:32:24
Totally agree about the midfield VV.
Control the midfield and you control the game.

Agree3 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 13:40:55
Not a keeper out there, I'd swap Ali for (atm). Make him an offer to stay longer, only option imo.

Agree6 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 16:27:35
Genuine question. Do people not see Alli's injuries getting worse as he goes on? Been the best in the world most of his time with us, but it's no use if he doesn't stay fit. If he could I'd keep him for another 5 years.

Agree3 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 17:52:41
Agreed, FM. I believe we require a replacement. But that's not our current keeper.

Agree1 Disagree0

13 Apr 2026 21:01:41
There’s rumours that PSG forward Dembele could be sold in summer as he doesn’t want to enter contract negotiations plus he would like to play in Premier League one day too.

Agree2 Disagree0

13 Apr 2026 22:41:28
Nah!
He's an Arsenal player if ever I've seen one.
We need battlers.

Agree25 Disagree0

13 Apr 2026 23:38:28
Did he not want 1.2m a week off PSG to sign on?

Agree4 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 00:09:48
Agree, Ron. Not for me either.

Agree6 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 01:54:50
He's currently on 1.4m monthly, 350k pw, and is seeking almost double, apparently somewhere in the region of 600k. He can jog on.

Agree12 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 06:26:47
If he's only jogging he'd get straight into our midfield.

Agree18 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 07:21:41
Love we can have the season we've had and people are saying no thanks to Ballon d'Or winner from last season. 🤣

My issue would be age at this point, but very good player.

Agree8 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 09:18:38
Well, we let future Ballon d'Or winner walk last summer, and we're letting Salah walk this summer.

Ballon d'Or has become one of those silly commercialised ceremonial awards, which are no marker of quality and are just a chance to network and spread propaganda.

We make Ballon d'Or winners, we don't sign them.

Agree14 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 09:30:07
Respectfully, Ron, are you arguing that Dembele wasn't the best player last year? He was phenomenal. I just think it's funny that people are being snooty about a clearly good player who has finally started to look like the player everyone thought he would be. Goes to show it's all about the right manager saying the right things.

Agree4 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 09:31:12
We didn't let a future Ballon d'Or walk. El Rato decided to leave 2 years prior when he started learning Spanish. Aint nothing we could've done about it.

Agree10 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 09:46:45
Good player but not what we need.

Agree1 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 09:51:05
We haven't made that many Ballon d'Or winners either.

Agree3 Disagree15

{Ed025's Note - i think you have Irish but they have never been selected... because its a big fiddle mate..

14 Apr 2026 10:01:07
What Ballon d'Or winners have we made? Can only think of Owen, bfr that Keegan, but it wasn't called that then.

Agree3 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 11:03:02
Nice @JK23, made me laugh. 😁👍

Agree4 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 12:00:53
Dembele is 29 in May and he's missed a lot of this season with injury. The bloke is too old and too much of a sicknote and a knobhead to be spending good money on.

Agree6 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 12:13:56
Hilarious JK23, spot on.

Changingofthegvardiol, I think it's funny that anybody is talking about this like it's even a possibility. He's looking for 600k per week, not to mention he's already playing in an incredible team, under a phenomenal manager, the current champions of Europe who have every chance of winning it again.

Rumours of transfer possibility always crop up when players are in contract talks. He's not going anywhere, and even if he was, there's absolutely no chance he's coming to us.

Agree3 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 12:15:54
All subjective, but for me Dembele was not the best player in Europe last year.
Doesn't matter. The whole thing is a sham.

Agree7 Disagree0

14 Apr 2026 12:59:08
We might as well be talking about Mbappe or Lamal. We'd be massively wasting our time talking about them too also.

Agree4 Disagree0

13 Apr 2026 14:14:58
Afternoon Gents,

Multiple reports suggesting FSG want to keep Slot.

This is false for 3 reasons.

1. FSG Don't make those decisions.

2. Liverpool and Slot have came to an agreement that he will leave, not be sacked, he has been under scrutiny for a while, since the start of the year, and they both feel continuing isn't in the best interest of the club, but stressed he would not be humiliated by getting the sack, due to him winning the league last season, if he was to leave earlier, then Gerrard would take control until a new manager was brought in.

3. Liverpool have been talking to 3 specific managers for the role next season, Alonso, Enrique and Andoni Iraola, although as I've said a few times, I've been made aware that it will be Alonso.

Cheers Gents

Agree3 Disagree0

13 Apr 2026 15:57:28
Iraola, every time for me. Alonso is untried in the prem and didn't pull up trees in Spain, and we have to get this appointment right.

Agree7 Disagree0

13 Apr 2026 16:11:48
Once again, my understanding is that Slot will see out his contract. I've posted this a few times here, and have yet to be convinced otherwise. It sounds like Robbo knows some inside info, but how he would know the details, I don't understand.

We'll all just have to wait and see how it plays out.

Agree4 Disagree0

13 Apr 2026 16:18:15
I prefer Iraola as well. Hope he gets the job.

Agree4 Disagree0

13 Apr 2026 16:52:04
70% win rate sounds pretty decent to me with Real Ego FC. I would be happy with any of the 3, but the romantic in me would like Alonso.

Agree14 Disagree0

13 Apr 2026 16:55:19
KBL, just wondering, is your info from inside or your take on things going on? Not being funny or meaning to insult, just wondering.

I hope the info is correct, and I don't want to insult the ITK, but I'm definitely a believe-anything-when-I-see-it kind of person.

Agree4 Disagree0

13 Apr 2026 17:42:22
More great news. I believe any of those 3 would be great. Alonso and another half a billion should do the trick.

Agree2 Disagree0

13 Apr 2026 18:28:16
Not sure it makes sense that there's this clear plan for him to leave, yet no 100% certainty on his replacement, and we're ripping up Mo's contract and not even an offer to Robbo.
I want it to be true, but will believe it when I see it.

Agree3 Disagree0

13 Apr 2026 18:28:39
Don't get this Alonso failed at Madrid? If you don't want him as your choice then fine but a 70% win rate isn't a fail.

Agree16 Disagree0

13 Apr 2026 18:32:51
SA - I am employed by the club as a driver for the women's team, and, as such, get some kind of feedback without being serious 'in the know'.

I am sure there are people who might know a lot more than me, but I just can't see how they would know anything in much detail.

I'm with you - believe when I see.

Agree2 Disagree0

13 Apr 2026 18:34:18
But so was Jurgen Klopp when he took over in 2015, Jari.

Agree3 Disagree0

13 Apr 2026 18:39:34
Things is, we think there is no clear plan on his replacement. But, for all we know, the replacement, if Slot is leaving, has already signed.

From some rumours I have seen, Alonso has already agreed to a 3 year contract.

Agree5 Disagree0

13 Apr 2026 18:42:04
KBL, thanks mate, again, hope I didn't offend, just wondering. The summer is going to be interesting.

For me, if anything, it sort of makes sense that he leaves for family reasons.

Agree3 Disagree0

13 Apr 2026 18:43:43
Alonso didn't fail at Madrid, they were 1 point behind Barca at the time they let him go and he had a 70% win rate, it wasn't the right move for him.
Have to say, I would love it if Enrique left PSG to join the Reds.

Agree13 Disagree0

13 Apr 2026 19:58:28
Gotta disagree that FSG don't take a view on who we hire as manager. While they want our MD to run the club on a day to day basis, they absolutely drive whatever investment choices we make. We are a massively important part of their portfolio, and they will have been well across all the financial choices we have made, and the increased ticket prices.

Willing to be butchered for this, but surely a price rise is warranted? Huge investment in the stadium, players etc - given the huge price increases in theatre, cinema, pub/restaurants since Covid, surely stadiums are also suffering from the same huge surge in staff costs?

Agree6 Disagree19

{Ed025's Note - you sound like a true tory MS..

13 Apr 2026 20:08:00
Genuine question: what makes Iraola preferable to Alonso for so many on here?

He is a great manager who has done great things at Bournemouth but he has a win percentage of only 38% and his only silverware is the Cypriot Supercup in 2018.

Alonso's win percentage is 56% (despite taking over a poor team struggling at the wrong end of the table) and he has won the Bundesliga, the DFB-Pokal and the DFL-Supercup.

People talk about Iraola's PL experience but Alonso played 143 PL games for Liverpool so it's not like he doesn't know the league.

Is it the style of play? Preferred formation? Personal character?

I personally prefer the idea of Alonso but I trust the club to make the right decision and will back whoever comes in.

Agree11 Disagree0

13 Apr 2026 20:01:12
Ed001 with the things being said about Slot wanting to go at the end of the season and he knows he only got this season it makes his behaviour even worse.
He gets £6m a year and he only has 7/8 months to put his self out but he can't even do that and he keeps pissing off back home.
I am not in the camp that he is a bad coach just very unprofessional for me Ed if our players where trained to the right fitness levels the most of our defeats this season don't happen. Isak has a totally different season because he is fully fit a lot faster he does not pick up that injury because van der ven does not get anywhere near him because he is sharper.

When some people are trying to say it's not all on Slot I could not disagree anymore if you get Gerrard king Kenny Barnes in there peak but they are not at full fitness especially in modern football they can't produce the goods with the game being so fitness based now. So with that Slot and all his coaching team have totally failed and even though they can't produce see it they have failed to change anything. When your hear Slot moaning about games every 3 days that's not because of the games that just effecting him get back home. I wish we had played games every 3 days all season because that would have sorted our fitness issues out.

I want Alonso as he's somebody who knows the club and the city. I'm not from Liverpool but it's important for the manager of any club to integrate like Klopp did.

Alonso lived in Liverpool with his wife. He had a child in Liverpool. He knows what the club means, he touched the This is Anfield sign as a player and his win rate in Germany (according to Wikipedia, 62%) and Spain (70%) have been pretty decent and he knows Wirtz and Frimpong.

Also, as Benitez forced him out, for me it feels like he has a bit of unfinished business. Again, I'm a romantic.

So yeah, I'll take Alonso any day.

Iraola plus points:

1) He can deal with a great deal of "squad turnover". He loses star players all the time and just creates more star players.
2) As above, he improves players. His teams are greater than the sum of the individual player talents, plus his players improve under his coaching.
3) His tactics - a big one for me. His teams press like Klopp's, his teams do more running than most in European football, they attack relentlessly, they are aggressive.
4) He's done all of this at a small club in the Premier League and he's taken points off a lot of bigger clubs.

He clearly has a good relationship with his players, because they pull up trees for him with their running.

He clearly has good communication skills, and can get his tactical plan across with absolute clarity. That's the only explanation for how he manages to deal with the loss of so many players every year.

He also seems to have a bit of Rafa about him, which I don't see in Alonso. Alonso seems a bit "colder" as a personality. Not a criticism, but Iraola has that passion, like Klopp, like Rafa, he kicks every ball, he feels every moment. I like that, I think it inspires the players and I think it galvanises the fans.

No problem with Alonso, I'll be right behind him 100% if he's appointed, but my preference is Iraola.

Mr Ed 25, sorry if I sound Tory, but we too do kind of have to pay for the investment? I reckon it still costs less to attend a game, than watch a theatre show, or a month of Sky tv? If you go to the theatre, bear in mind that even the biggest stars will be on around £500 pw - because they love giving something back.

With the salaries players are on, I am amazed that prices are not higher. They all earn more than, say, Tom Cruise would earn for a 2 hour shift on a set.

{Ed025's Note - its a very unstable world at the moment MS and especially for those on low income,s mate, these are the people that pay for tickets and some cant really afford it, FSG is a multi billion company who have made unbelievable profits on the back of buying Liverpool, im sure they wont be going to foodbanks anytime soon so a freeze on prices would not hurt them too much, it would also endear them to the people of the city and it would be a great PR stunt imo, dont feel sorry for them my friend..

Spot on @25. Well said.

This stuff about our season being the way it has been because Slot is homesick and keeps going back to Holland instead of training the players is honestly getting more than a bit ridiculous. It simply takes something that may be true (that he goes back home on international breaks) and blows it way out of proportion into a full-blown explanation for our season.

Folks who espouse this theory are basically saying he is tremendously unprofessional and is winging it on the job. If that was the case, surely the higher-ups would have intervened by now.

This is an elite football club that we are talking about, and you're making it seem like we have somebody who doesn't give a toss if we win or lose and only cares about collecting his paycheck and sitting in a lawn chair at home.

I mean, it's got to the point where you would even blame Isak's broken leg on Slot, Grino, since he would be sharp enough to miraculously evade Van de Ven's horrific challenge? I mean, come on, you can dislike the manager all you like but for such speculative stuff to pass itself off as an explanation for our season is just insane to me.

Ed025, the people who say let's pay the increase in prices are proper delusional, I wonder how many games these people actually go or how many they've been over the year.

{Ed025's Note - if the club were in financial difficulty i could see why it could be necessary Strom, at this current time i think its a bad move mate..

I agree with ED25. Sometimes, less is more.

Well Ed025, we let players leave for nothing who we could have got millions on, yet I've heard a few on here saying about just pay the increase in the ticket price, but its not about the extra £2, its the principal of it.

{Ed025's Note - i totally agree Strom..

Come on lads, most people are ripping people off. FSG spent half a billion on players last season, as we are repeatedly told. They invested in the club 2 new stands. I don't mind paying the extra 2 quid to get in, when the traders outside the ground are whacking the prices up monthly.

Surely 2 quid isn't killing people. Especially locals. Everything is going up. Costs me and kids an absolute fortune to get over to a game with flights, accomodation.

Florian, the locals aren't getting the tickets like they used to because of day trippers who get fleeced but are willing to pay it. That's the problem.
