To be 21 points worst off, than we was this stage last season, is some drop off by any teams standards. I think it shows a bit of arrogance by Klopp, and the players not wanting to play for him this season, as you don't become a bad team overnight. Like I say we under achieved last season, it was great winning the league but it should of been more than one trophy, great teams win multiple in one season or doubles.

Massively overachieved last year with fortune on our side. Lots of last minute goals and goals in last 5-10 minutes and games where teams had easy chances to score and didn't take them. We ceetainly were not 18 points better than City on form. The line between us winning games and not is a lot finer than most people thought and that's now what's happening with injuries and fortune not helping. Once a goal goes back in we will look different but we've never been that much better than other teams.

Arrogance how? This team has been run into the ground over the previous three seasons, a drop off at some point was inevitable, look at City last season after 100 and 98 point seasons. The club did almost everything the fans wanted them to last summer, buying Jota, Thiago and Tsimikas.

I remember all this Bullsh*t talk at Dortmund. The players came back from injury theh hit form and stormed the second half of the league.

I think the arrogance lies with fans. We be talking as if we've been dominating trophies for 10 years. The team need a shake but there is very limited resource to do that. So they have to rely on what they have and find something that will click.

God I would feel much better if this actually was a windup. Unfortunately the poster is being serious. I wonder if people have ever played team sports in their lives. It’s like we aren’t in a league with 6 other teams capable of winning. in the middle of a C.V.. after a remarkable 2019 and 2020.

Sorry for wanting to be the greatest.

Faithworks that is a very good point on Dortmund. I am sure Klopp has seen all this before. Must we must get going asap but I still beleive we will win 10 plus games in a row at some point.

My point is this is the greatest Liverpool team for a very long time, which I believe should be winning multiple titles, what's so wrong with that?

22 Jan 2021 19:20:31
There’s nothing wrong with wanting to be the greatest. It is annoying when people substitute unrealistic, whiny expectations about the club and say “yeah I just want greatness”. This team was one of the greatest premier league teams ever over the last 2 seasons and that’s hard to dispute. They’re in a rut. We didn’t get lucky the last two years. You earn luck. Get over it and support the team.

22 Jan 2021 19:35:47
Tj you set your standards low, good luck with that one.

Biggest drop off ever is still Chelsea going from Champions to relegation candidates in successive seasons. Things are not good at the moment but they could be worse.

22 Jan 2021 20:19:53
This team did win multiple trophies, it won more trophies in 6 months than the club did in the previous decade. It was the best team in the world just over a year ago. People are trying to re-write history because we are in a bad run of form, we were top of the league a month ago.

It’s stuff like this that normally keeps me away from the site after a poor result.

Have a word with yourself.

Don’t think we overachieved last season at all. Yes there were a lot of last minute goals but that’s credit to the lads for never giving up. United won league after league on last minute goals.

22 Jan 2021 22:17:43
Manchester United have scored 3 injury time winners this season and I bet their fans aren’t calling United lucky, our fans can be a weird bunch sometimes.

22 Jan 2021 22:42:58
Thunderbird 2. I love winning with a last minute goal. You go from the disappointment of a draw to the euphoria of a win instantly. No better feeling. Just like the kick in the nuts a last minute defeat feels.

22 Jan 2021 23:08:24
Mighty Red, being 'the greatest' only has a finite amount of time attatched to it. You can't maintain that title forever, it's just simply impossible.

22 Jan 2021 23:17:54
Mighty Reds, get off your self righteous high horse bro cos no one has time for such crap. Arrogance? Did you even read the self entitled, arrogant drivel you posted and you call these brave players and manager arrogant?

Like Faith said, the arrogance is with fans like you who come out chatting arrogant rubbish cos the team did not do what you wanted. Same crap I read after the game where a poster said out boys have downed tools. I did not have the stomach to respond .

So what are you going to do if we don’t win the title? Sack Klopp and the players cos you did not get your way? And as for your do called standards, give it a rest bro. You are no bigger fan than anyone else on here so get over yourself and yes, get over the fact that we may win nothing this season.
