To Ed01 and posters. I never watch La Liga games. What threat do the current RM team present and what are our main dangers for tonight and next week? Personally I really fancy this tie although RM are obviously CL masters to be fair. Thanks!

{Ed001's Note - I don't know, I haven't seen them this season, sorry.}

KB9. That's it, IMO.

Stan, I think Madrid are in Real danger of getting an absolute hammering tonight!

Varane out now he’s tested positive! Hope we blow them
Away!

With Ramos n Varane out we’ve just got to go over there and get them beat. Fair game now with all 4 main CB’s missing.

I think we can cope with a 33 year old Benzema, he’s not got the pace anymore, so if they’re going to try and use him as an aerial threat, I think Phillips and Kabak will deal with that happily.

Benzema is a top player but wether he will get the service, I doubt it.

6Times, I would be totally as confident as you are if we did not have those young CB's out there. KB9 is nothing anywhere close to what they have had to deal with till date. That is the only thing that concerns me, really. KB9 is still lethal even at 33 and 23 goals in the league and CL this season is nothing to sneeze at and his movement and ability to score from near anywhere in and around the box, is frightening cos he is the reason they are even in a title race right now. Either way, time to get after them and win this tie.

{Ed077's Note - they are a true definition of a one man attack.

We have our first choice centre half's missing tonight, Real have their first choice centre half's missing tonight. This suggests it could be a high scoring result but probably has 0-0 or 1-0, 0-1 written all over it.

Benzema isn’t the most mobile strikers in the world, and at his age he’s lost a lot of the pace he had, much like Suarez, he’s scored lots because teams do tend to sit back against Madrid in the Spanish league, we saw how awful Suarez was against Chelsea in the champions league and I think against any team that hustles and gets in amongst Madrid is going to make it a game they won’t enjoy, I can’t see him having any of the kinds of chances that he gets week in week out in La Liga and if they fling crosses into the box I’d fancy both Kabak and Phillips to deal with that comfortably. I’m confident going into this game. Big learning experience for both Phillips and Kabak but I think they’ll both come through it with Fabinho in front of them. Hopefully Salah and Jota will fill their boots and put the tie to bed.
