Its crazy how as admirable as their performances were last season, Rhys and Nat are nowhere near the 1st team and rightfully so.

Agree2 Disagree0

I'm sorry RR but there is not need for that statement. The two lad's played out of there skin too get too 3rd. I'm sorry for them I really am but let's go easy on them. They have dome themselves and the club proud.

Seems a really unnecessary dig at two players that stepped up when we really needed them. Regardless of whether they have a future HERE or not I hope that based on those performances they can go on to have careers they're happy with.

"Rightfully so"? Rarely can two words reveal so little humility as these. Both gave it their all and I'm grateful they did.

{Ed0666's Note - I think they were probably the main reasons we got top 4 last season. They defended like trojans in the run in. When United bombarded us at Old Trafford I still don’t know how we didn’t cave? Oh yes I do Williams & Philips that’s how.

Those boys played their hearts out and saw us through a tricky period, if they were needed right now, I’d be more than happy to see them as they don’t shirk, they don’t go hiding and if they made mistakes. they learnt from those mistakes they made. Good honest professionals, Williams and Phillips came on immensely through getting games, their approach was more agricultural than sophisticated, but it was effective. I know who I’d want in the trenches beside me and they’d be near top of the list for their heart and will to succeed.

I'm actually wondering what the point of that opening statement is? By definition, if you make it onto the field in a EPL game you are technically in the first team, no matter for how short or long a time. You can argue about their skills and technical gifts as much as you want, but the facts are there.

Those kids played their arsed off and never backed down and remember, we had to play three of our last four away from home at UTD, WBA and Burnley and like men, they showed up and showed out. I will always be grateful to them for the huge things they did. Whether they have a future with us? I don’t know and that’s football cos it’s not as if they are better than the ones ahead of them cos well, they’re not. We shall see.

I think the poster is trying to point to the strength of our players that have returned.

Yeh, don't think it was meant as an"attack"lads!
