Hi everyone. I might be being a little picky here and it is just my opinion of course but I've thought mane has looked a bit off the pace in last couple of games and his play has seemed a bit slow and his final ball etc has been poor. Interested in ed1 opinion and of course other posters. Cheers.

{Ed001's Note - he has not been at his best, but he has not had the kind of overlapping support that Salah gets in those games. Salah has had TAA and (usually) Henderson getting out wide and high early to help him out, Thiago has mostly been played on that left side and he sits deeper and looks to get on the ball. Robertson/Tsimikas have not been charging forward with the abandon of old, so Mane does not have the obvious options available to move it on quickly. I think that is as much to blame as anything.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Hendo looks good when he floats about on the right to help out Trent and Salah. Be good to see him swap sides with Thiago a bit more so he can do the same on the left hand side. I know his left foot isn’t as good as his right for crosses but it would give the opposition a headache from the left as well as from the right then.

Robertson has been charging forward but instead of crossing the ball with his left foot he stops in order to use his right thus slowing down any action!

Personally, I feel Mane has been back to his old self this season. Apart from the last couple games.
But to be fair, all our attackers had a bad game at Wolves, except for Origi of course 😜.

All of our attackers had a bad game?
More like Wolves defended like trojans.
Their left back was superb, he stopped Salah running riot which not many people have done in the last few seasons. Salah was able to set Divvy up once their left back had gone off injured, if he'd stayed on the pitch that goal probably wouldn't have happened.
Mane has looked more himself this season, but it just wasn't quite happening for him against Wolves.

Cheers Ed, makes sense. Just the last couple of games been noticeable but what you are saying makes sense. Hence why I wanted your views. He is definitely on better form this season.

{Ed001's Note - very welcome mate. We are very right-side biased this season, it would be nice to see us swap that about in games like Wolves, where the left wing-back is having a blinding game. Though it paid off in the end, that was more due to the lad going off injured than our persistence.}

That’s a very good point eds1 👍🏻.

I wouldn’t say Klopp’s right wing Ed?
Definitely a Social Democrat, lol.
