Think tomorrow will be our biggest test of the league season so far. Be interesting to see if we play the high line as usual, especially with vardys pace and willingness to run in, can see us getting caught. Gomez playing may not be a bad thing today.
Leicester are on a good run, at home, and I like the team they’re building, Maddison tielemens and ndidi is a good balanced midfield three. I’d match it and go Fabinho sitting with maybe Milner, and either Keita higher up or firmino and play origi - we have looked better recently when he’s played and we’ve adapted the format.

My heart says 2/ 3-1 us, but My head is thinking this could be our first dropped points!

Apparently it was 4 year ago today that we sacked Rodgers. If you believe in writing on the wall then that could be it. If we play to our high standards then we will win it. In fairness though Leicester normally give us a good game anyway and they are looking decent this season. I read that since BR has taken over they have picked up the 3rd highest points in the league behind us and city so fair play to them. May the best team on the day win.

Far too important a game to sit Matip down and play Gomez (provided Matip is fit) . I think Henderson needs to be rested and we should play with a midfield of Wijnaldum, Fabinho and Ox/ Keita. If our shaky defense against Salzburg was just a blip, then I think we will come out with a win in some comfort. If that's a trend and defense plays the same way, then I expect a shootout, with us still coming out on top. Salah correctly said, after the game, that they go up a gear when behind. We have a front 3 that is the envy of the best teams and a sub (Origi) who has a knack for scoring in important games.

It’ll be interesting to see if Klopp perseveres with the 4-3-3 against a counter attacking team like Leicester.
A lot of commentators are noting the space behind the advanced full back/ s and the higher defensive line as a potential weakness.
4-2-3-1?
Sorry all, I’ve become slightly obsessive about this system over the last few days lol.

With everyone looking to this as the Game of the week, and maybe Rodgers ending the Anfield streak and all that, you'd think it'd at least be on TV!

Matip is injured so that is not a debate. Midfield needs a refresh, will be interesting to see who he picks in there.

I am more confident that I was a week ago regarding this game as no one is taking this game for granted. Everyone is saying how good they are and what a stuff game it will be. VVD needs to put the last game behind him and if the front play well we will win. Really lokking to it.

well, it is the next game so yes, biggest test of the season coming up!

Spot on, Mark. LC are more than decent and were my pick to break the top 6 and judging by how Utd and Arsenal and to some extent Chelsea are fairing, the could get a top 4 place but we shall see. Nobody is taking this game for granted and I am more than certain that Klopp will get the boys ready to play all 90 + 5 mins physically and mentally.

Will we be caught out at times during the game? Err, you think? That's football, man. This is the way we play and we should not start changing our ethos we have worked on for years just to suit one game. You are planning to fail, doing that stuff. The issue is WHEN we get caught out, how do we deal with it? That is what I am more interested in seeing and what prep. work was done to handle it.

BR will get them ready to play, no question BUT in the end, it's football and LC have their own weaknesses as well. Their FB's are suspect defensively and even Spurs ripped them a new one (LC had no shots on target in the whole first half) and had VAR not ruled out the Aurier goal stupidly IMO and at 2-0, LC lose hands down. Looking forward to the game.

Fabinho needs to play a deeper role than he has been. We need him no further than 15-20 yards away from cb pairing to help cover when Leicester try counter attack. Gini will pick up Tielemans and track his runs allowing our third midfielder to support the front three. I'd start either Ox or Naby as both are more attack minded than Milner.

If we're more clinical in our finishing today than we have been I see us winning 2-0 or 3-1.
