I was reading James Milner's book 'Ask a Footballer' and he said one of the lads told him there was a manager who, the day after they'd lost a game, told them to line up in formation and left them standing there in their positions for 45 minutes.

He told them, 'That's what you did yesterday, so that's what we're doing today. ' He blew his whistle for half time, turned them around, and made them stand in one position for another 45 minutes.

My guess is that is was Brendan, with maybe Roy an outside chance. Anyone else got any ideas who it might be?

I heard a podcast on this it was Felix mcggath who was in charge at Fulham for a shirt period. Believe it was. Think it was Steve sitwell who was talking about it.

Doesn't surprise me, very eccentric.

Yeah, Jason, I could see Souness doing that, but if Milner was told the story by one of the lads at the club, I don’t think any of the players at the club when Milner joined in 2015 were going back as far as the Souness era. That’s what made me think Brendan, at the time he was under real pressure, sacking Pascoe and probably opening his three envelopes too. I can’t see Kenny doing that, and it seems even a bit obscure for Roy.

Thanks LFCSTE, I assumed it was a Liverpool manager, as Milner said one of the lads at Liverpool told him about it. I’m trying to think of an ex-Fulham player at Liverpool, assuming Harvey Elliot is too young to have been involved in that.
