Hi friends, what is the best way to get to Liverpool from London this weekend for the wolves game? I can't seem to find any trains available (been checking for several weeks now), and the coaches seem to get to Liverpool too close to the game. Any idea how other reds are travelling if trains are out?

My son stayed in Premier Inn on the Albert Dock (Royal even) last Thursday for £40. View of the dock for him, wife and 2 kids. I think he booked well in advance but I was surprised at price.

1) teleport like in Star Trek/ Willy wonka
2) maybe in a formula 1 or rally car
3) space rocket like one of these millionaires is building
4) maybe get carried by a bunch of Victoria secret models ( or whatever you are into)
5) maybe you ontop of a lion.

Thanks friends :) managed to book a train via Birmingham. I am ending up staying at some Marriott in the city Center which is a bit of a rip off by the looks of it: still hoping to get tickets to the match around Anfield for the three of us: if anybody doesn’t mind helping out a traveller trying to catch their team after a 5 year hiatus please let me know - happy to buy the tickets off you.

Booking . com has beds for this Friday night starting at £18. You just have to be prepared to sleep in what's basically a hostel for back packers!
