I've said it before it's a shame tiredness has caught up with him just as he has amassed the best "squad" he has had here. I hope who comes in next has the balls and beliefs jurgen has in them and not scared to use the kids. The academy now is probably where we all hoped it would get to. Bradley and quansah have been a revelation this season and all the others that are now sniffing around the team. Brilliant game today deserved the win once we settled down imo.

Great performance from us yesterday. To turn that game around after City dominated the first 10 mins was very impressive. Second half City looked bang average.
Biggest mistake that Pep made yesterday was not playing Haaland.

I think its a massive disservice to say that we absolutely dominated City yesterday.

It was an absolute spectacle and the stadium was electric, both teams were fantastic and both played their part.

Was probably the fastest paced game I've ever seen and for 30 mins City were excellent in creating space from nothing.

2nd half we were outstanding though and someone further down summed it up perfectly for me where they said we could have won, we could have lost but over 90 mins we should have won.

Would be nice to re run that game at Wembley in May in the FA Cup final after we've pipped them to the title.

What are people's thoughts on Gakpo? Do you think he will come good? He doesn't seem to have that bite to me.

I have to agree with you Babbity. Gakpo's play seems almost timid at times. I have a feeling that he is sacrificing his natural game to suit the team but it's unnecessary imo. The team would benefit much more if he could free himself and play with more confidence.

Babbity Rabbity, Gakpo is struggling for form and confidence atm, IMO. He had a chance to take the shot right in the box and then he hesitated and passed it along and it got cleared. IMO, That is a guy who is not sure of himself hence, doubting himself atm.

This is where we have to support him like many of us did with Dias and Darwin cos like it or not, Gakpo is part of the squad that has got us this far and played a big role in us winning the Carabao Cup so to me, he HAS come good. Him struggling at the moment, does not remove from that observation, IMO. Oh, and his is a brilliant footballer individually.

It’d help if Halpo was played in a settled position. Bit of a gadget man ‘ol Gakpo and am sure that is unhelpful. Double digit goals tho so the return isn’t bad.

I agree Gakpo didn't look confident yesterday and he looked half a yard off the pace of the game which is understandable as all City's subs also looked a yard off it as well.

Salah is just Salah and Robbo did take about 10 mins to get up to speed also.

I think we can criticize Gakpo for not taking that shot but then at the same time we could say similar about Elliot and Bradley in the first half who looked like they had better opportunities and chose to either have an extra touch or pass. Salah also had 2 good opportunities which resulted in a poor cross and weak right foot finish which went straight to the keeper both times.

Diaz will still be kicking himself about that one on one and Nunez really needs to work on his timing of his runs as he's getting caught offside far too much. I've seen people say that we need to get the ball to him quicker but twice yesterday he was caught offside from Kellehers kicks just inside the city half and midfield were releasing it for him first time.

Nunez is a special player though.
