Evening ed002.
Hope all is well.

There's rumours that ManCity will be completely exonerated by CAS over the UEFA allegations, obviously nothing confirmed yet until Monday.

Not directly related to liverpool but it'll send out the wrong messages if it's the case.

Heard anything?

{Ed002's Note - I am not sure why you think this sends out the wrong message. There is no acceptable evidence that any case should have been made against Manchester City. They should never have been subject to any punishment on the evidence presented.

I assume that if The FA lose there appeal and Liverpool suffer the same charges as Chelsea you will be accepting a one year transfer ban for Liverpool in your fight for justice?}

Agree0 Disagree0

The case against them is based entirely on information that was illegally obtained, right?

Hadn't a hope of being upheld by CAS.

{Ed002's Note - Illegally obtained, incomplete and mis-interpreted.}

10 Jul 2020 20:27:29
We’ve been on a transfer ban since signing Alisson Becker.

10 Jul 2020 20:27:42
The world and its mother knows exactly what city are at, other clubs who build the right and years of CL qualification can't grow revenue that quick. They can't even fill their stadium and we're suppose to believe they're revenues have grown that quick and sponsors are willing to pay out that money. Lance Armstrong fc,

{Ed002's Note - Extreme ignorance and embarassing posts. You are simply looking stupid.}

10 Jul 2020 20:32:44
Ed002 - apologies, I read the wrong reply.

{Ed002's Note - You don't need to apologise Drogie. You are a good poster and don't stop, but the Liverpool supporters seem to struggle with the subject - which needs to be understood to be comment worthy. There is a level of paranoia which doesn't go away.}

10 Jul 2020 21:13:54
How much is City’s annual shirt sponsorship by Etihad worth Ed002?

{Ed002's Note - They don’t have a simple shirt deal - they have a larger deal that includes stadium naming rights. This is getting more and more embarrassing as you try and find something to hang the irrational paranoia on.}

10 Jul 2020 21:17:11
Either way one side is going to suffer here.

If evidence is found to be Illegally obtained, incomplete and mis-interpreted and that is what Uefa have built a case around questions have to be asked of Uefa.

{Ed002's Note - This is from the past and questions were asked.}

10 Jul 2020 21:21:25
Why are people arsed with what’s going on in other clubs? If you’re so bothered go to their page.

10 Jul 2020 21:57:39
Because it’s a joke Marshy. A national airline sign a ten year sponsorship deal just after the ruling Prince takes them over. A national airline that has run up billions of dollars of losses over the last few years. And that’s before any C.V. impact this year. Liverpool can’t stump up £100 for a pack of duty free ciggies whilst City are getting bankrolled by a loss-making national airline? Right.

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool do very well from sponsorship. Manchester City handle FFP within the rules, but Liverpool have a different paradigm to managing their finances. This constant chip on the shoulder, particularly from a club performing so well, is truly, truly embarrassing. 2018/19 the Emirates Group made profits of more than $600M. This spewed hate toward everything not Liverpool continues to make people like you loom stupid and embarrassing.}

10 Jul 2020 22:30:01
Extreme ignorance? Massive sponsorship deals from companies with direct connections to the owners, 10 year shirt sponsor from a group who accuired over 3bn in losses in 2016/ 17. But not hi G to see here, father Ted school of commerce that is.

{Ed001's Note - you really have no idea what you are talking about. Clueless and embarrassing when people just get on bitter ignorant rants about things way over their head. Companies with direct connections to the City owners also sponsor Arsenal and other Premier League teams. Just stop before you completely embarrass yourself. None of what you said is relevant to the court case, which you clearly do not understand either.}

10 Jul 2020 22:41:22
Thanks Ed for the reply. I am glad questions where asked, it's ridiculous Uefa can create such a scene on something that won't hold up in court.

Do you envisage any scenario where the fact City will get exonerated will effect Uefa long term?

{Ed002's Note - There are other issues that need to be addressed.}

10 Jul 2020 22:39:31
Ed2, have you ever thought about doing any articles? especially about the financial side of things in football?

{Ed002's Note - I am not sure what you mean. Discussing finances on a forum is difficult mainly due to reconnections (that Manchester City are cheating, that Mr A funds Chelsea beyond the rues etc., etc..) Liverpool are in a great place right now and have little or no reason to complain. There will be a couple of tweaks this summer, but perhaps nothing show stopping. Looking forward Klopp should be looking at a three year deal to completely refresh the side and then walk away and leave the “heritage” to someone else. That has to be the potentially available peak that can be achieved. The future set up with 22 or 23 year old players.}

10 Jul 2020 22:57:03
There is a difference between a lack of proof and innocence. I'm not going to pretend I know what is going on at city and with their finances.

But I don't think Liverpool fans should be the ones complaining. If I were a Brentford fan perhaps I'd feel a bit miffed.

Everyone knows o. J. Simpson is innocent right.

{Ed002's Note - Well the Brentford fans have said nothing and the Liverpool fans are whining like little bitches as ever.}

10 Jul 2020 23:03:43
I wasn’t aware that Etihad and Emirates had merged Ed?
Or are you saying that City’s co-sponsors make up for the enormous losses made by the lead sponsor?

{Ed001's Note - they haven't quite merged but they are in a partnership along with a couple of other local airlines. All are very closely connected. It is after all one family that rules both Dubai and Abu Dhabi.}

10 Jul 2020 23:04:01
Why do we care? If anything it’s a good thing as if City are exonerated there’s less chance Utd will get in the CL next season 😉.

11 Jul 2020 00:44:04
Reality is that no one actually knows. The source of the story is Ian Cheeseman, who is a die hard City fan in the same way that Duncan Castles is a die hard United fan, so I’d take it all with a massive pinch of salt.

10 Jul 2020 23:44:14
Dare I ask why UEFA even tried the ban with flawed evidence?

Appreciate if you don't want to answer for fear of attracting nitwits.

{Ed002's Note - It really is not something for the Liverpool page.}

Might sound strange but I’d rather they got exonerated. If we are going to continue to challenge and win league titles I would prefer city to be at their best. City at their best seems to bring out the best in us. Would we have gone 2 seasons losing 3 games if city weren’t around pushing us. Also City without Europe would give them an advantage in the league title as they would have more preparation and less midweek games. City can’t get drawn in same Cl group as us and are only direct rivals in the comp if we happen to draw them in the knock out stages and when that has happened we have gotten the results. However is there any chance we can get Athletico banned from the CL instead lol. And the cherry on the top would be if city get the ban overturned it could stop Utd getting CL.

11 Jul 2020 12:14:05
Surely we're not the only fans that complain and moan about our rivals ed02?

{Ed002's Note - Far, far more than anyone else.}

11 Jul 2020 17:31:00
If the evidence against City was illegally-obtained, incomplete and mis-interpreted as Ed02 has said then, this is a slam dunk as in, case dismissed and nothing to see here, IMO.

As a result, UEFA will be left embarrassed and red-faced for all the world to see and City will be vindicated, as they should be if what ED02 says is true.

Frankly, I'm not sure why some on here are so obsessed with this issue with City? Yes, they are our rivals and all that and the regular banter is cool but the constant obsession/ whining and bitching to see them get done for pretty much a non-issue, boggles the mind.

As Ed02 says, we are in a good place right now, as a club and as a fan base. Champions of the England, Europe and the World. We broke and pummelled City this season where it mattered which is on the pitch and dethroned them, something unthinkable 2 seasons ago yet people can seem to be happy with these achievements. Again, boggles the mind.
