Don't know if this would work, but in Aus I get live coverage of every game and dedicated footy channel for $15 a month with any Optus mobile service. Could you but a sim only plan from overseas and add the footy option, then use a VPN to watch in the UK? That's what I did when back recently. Total cost would be $45, that's 25 quid a month.
Or, if you know someone over here, do as my son does who logs into my account from anywhere in the world for free, as 2 devices can be on the one account.
