Really hope Jota starts tonight, he obviously deserves his place. That then means someone has to miss out. I can't see Milner playing, maybe he could play lb at the weekend.

I think Klopp will go with his tried and tested 433 tonight with Wiji back in midfield and Bobby starting up top. If Jota starts then it could be at the expense of Mane. For me I'd prefer to see Mane, Salah and Jota as the starting 3.

Jota deserves to be in over both Mane or Firmino but if he is still recovering from his injury he should be saved for the last 30 minutes. He if doesn’t play though atm we are left with only one goal scorer on the pitch. Time for someone to step up.

Think it’s a bit harsh to say we would only have 1 goal scorer on the pitch Mark. Mane has been nowhere near as clinical this season in the premier league but believe it or not he has more CL goals this season than he did last season. Plus Bobby has not scored a single goal in this season’s competition so if it’s selecting players on current form or CL form Mane ahead of Bobby every day of the week for me.

In fact Bobby has 1 goal in last 2 CL seasons. So he averages 1 CL goals every 15 appearances currently.

I don’t disagree, mane is my favourite forward. But in the pl it has been painful to watch him in front of goal recently. Mane gets in my team over Firmino any day and hope he has his shooting boots on. One will hopefully lead to many.

The tried and trusted front 3 will start, IMO. A game like this is all about strategy. Having Jota coming off the bench is a great option to have right now esp. in a game like this if you need him. As for Mane? It is what it is BUT I like that he keeps playing well and keeps working hard and if he keeps doing this, the dam will break. We will see what happens.

if it is only goals that you are interested in, then mane would be in, instead of firmino. but to me, firmino offers more all round plat, than mane.

For me Bobby is a very good player and he's been brilliant for the club in the past but for me i do not see what he offers that Mane doesn't. And before someone says space or the system doesn't work without him or Mane and Salah can't score without him only have to look at the games that he's not played in to see that this is false. When i say Bobby doesn't offer more than Mane that isn't an insult either as Mane is world class> Bobby brings a hell of a lot to the team but so do Mane, Salah and now Jota. Its just the last 3 bring far more goals.
