2 wins and let's see what happens
Strange as it sounds, I actually prefer this scenario than if City lost to WH
Reason being GD is now immaterial and we won't be tempted to do silly things like against CP in 2014 and eventually went on to drop previous points

The goal is now super simple - just go and win 2 games and see what happens
Doesn't matter is it's 1-0 or 10-0.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sgynwa, fully agree with everything you have said and that has been my mantra on this scenario. Will all your games and then, hope. That's all we got right now regarding the title.

Funnily enough, I was just thinking the same sgynwa.

However, even better would have been if we'd been able to squeeze a winner in against Spurs!

Was thinking the same thing. If it were a slugfest last game of season City would always win by more goals. Paradoxically we have more chance of City drawing than us winning by more goals last game of season.

That makes sense in my head!

When it was like 10 left I knew we both wouldn’t win every game. Just who fuched up less. It’s not over til it’s over.

Y'alls thinking in some higher dimension which I cannot fathom.

City with 1 fewer point would mean that we would have an outside chance of winning on goal difference irrespective of City.

Now we are wholly reliant on then dropping points.

Actually see it the other way. Preferred it being in our hands with the goal difference no matter how impossible it appeared. Now we are reliant on City dropping points. Either way it was a big task to ask and proud of the boys for even making it a fight as we were 14 points behind not long ago.

agreed. i think if City had lost to West Ham we'd still be wanting them to at least draw with Villa anyways. Thankfully West Ham got a result because Villa beating City on the last day really would feel impossible.

now there is light, and where there is light there is hope. And where there is hope in your heart . . .

We needed Villa to get a result on the final day regardless. The goal difference is just too much to realistically claw back.
Let’s just win our games and see what happens. With Fernandinho at CB City have a glaring weakness that Watkins and Ings will be looking to exploit. Plus Pipco always loved a goal and performance against City as he gets space high up the pitch and has quality on the ball to use it.
It will be difficult for Villa to keep a determined City out at the other end but if they are within a goal going into the last 10 minutes City will get nervous.
There’s still a chance.
