Simply put, forget the obsession for new mids, we will see a lot of Elliott and Cav this season. They may or may not be enough to help win us the league but I love seeing some younger talent coming through so as long as we are competitive and continue playing great attacking football then it should be a fun ride. l if you want it to be.
Too many people obsessed with having to win everything (esp the PL when we are up against ManCity and their bottomless pit of cash and incredible squad depth that we cannot compete against) when watching entertaining football for me is the most important (and hopefully win the odd trophy here and there :)!

Looking forward to seeing Elliot and Jones get more opportunities this season and no doubts to the dislike of supporters Naby will get lots of game time as well if he stays fit.
I'm not sure if Carvalho will get much time in midfield but more in the front 3. In Klopps post match presser on Sat he said we have 8 midfielders so he's the only one i can think is the odd one out.

Jay it’s because I’ve been a real supporter for 50 years (you may want to look that up word) that I understand when we have got things as good as we do now. I used to stand on the Kop watching Sounesses team ?
I will never support anyone else as I’m a true fan through thick and thin and maybe it’s you who needs to go and support mancity and lay off the simply embarrassing knee jerk reactions and comments.

The aim of the game is to play as well as you can, both as an individual and as part of the tea, if the squad is assembled well and they play up their potential and the manager knows what he is doing then cups and titles will come- as per our r3 ord over the last 4 or 5 years.
The point is the basic aim is to play well, and if you achieve that goal then you are a chance of winning things. You might also get a bit of enjoyment watching the team play too, which seems to be getting harder by the day for some people, .

We've had an issue of durability and athleticism in midfield for 2 seasons now. I don't think it is an obsession. It's a fact.
Yes, it will be good to see how Elliott, Carvalho and Jones do when given their chances this season.
As for enjoying the ride, I'd agree as long as we play the high intensity, dynamic style that brought us here.

I think the aim of any sport is to win. Its just unfortunate that only 1 team (or person depending on the sport) can win at the end of the day.
If you or the team perform well whilst winning then its a bonus but winning definitely comes first.
Although i suppose some were pleased we played better than Real in a CL final they won.

I’ll say it again we wer not good enough to win it last season we are not good enough to win it this season! It’s hard to compete with city and that squad klopp has done miracles but there is absolutely nottin he can do with that midfield he has! Time to get over it!

Well pleased we have elliot and carvahlo in squad and hope they get plenty of game time.
But personally think both of those lads are more suited for upfront positions. Still leaving nabby ox and milly and Jones as back up midfielders.2 of which injury prone. The more I hear of that matheus nunes. the more I hope we go and get him now. don't see him as a stop gap for injured players we have now. See him as the future along side Bellingham hopefully.

I just don’t rate the midfield to last a season!
We all know Keita and ox ain’t worth a sh1t that leaves Thiago (injury prone) hendo his legs are going milly 36
Jone out injured and 2 unproven young lads to get us through the season winning big ask!
I don’t want to watch us play great football and come 6th I want to see win as I said it’s the name of the game!
Ed14 I nvr conceded anything I think win the league again this year I nvr said we’d win it!
I’m just more concerned we didn’t improve the mid as it’s our weakest point!

That midfield that can't last a season came within a whisker of winning 4 trophies last season.
So while things can be improved upon, writing our whole midfield off is somewhat bizarre. Ranting on and on about injured midfielders probably isn't good for some folks's blood pressure either.
It's beyond me how the team can be transformed into what we see it as today and some derive no pleasure from it. I'm having the football supporting time of my life watching this squad write itself into the history books, it's a pity some can only find negatives from it all.
It takes all sorts though.
