ED1 what do you see will happen next season if LFC miss out on a trophy and or Top 4 this season?

Do you think Klopp will rue the changes and revert to other tactics that actually work?

Do you think if we miss on top 4 it hurts our chances of our main picks for the midfield next season?

All is not lost this season if we change things soon, but if we carry on playing this totally ineffective football then surely he needs to take responsibility as manager to say its not worked and look at something else?

{Ed001's Note - I would expect him to be looking at it anyway, as it must be clear by now that it is not working and getting worse the more we try it. My fear is that he will decide to call it a day. That is what he did at Dortmund.}

Agree0 Disagree0

The fundamental issue with the current system is the fact there isn't one.

12 Jan 2023 15:59:36
Yeah that would be my biggest fear as well that he quits, hopefully he knows that the tactics are the issue and changes it, another few years of Klopp is what we need but he needs to enjoy the job (like anyone to want to stay)

Don’t like the sound of that ed001…
From a football perspective, who would we replace him with?

And from a selfish perspective, you can see it now, all the keyboard warriors blaming FSG should Klopp walk
I’d have to certainly ditch social media Ed001 ?.

{Ed001's Note - if I was looking at a new manager for Liverpool, I would want Klopp if he wasn't already at the club. I don't see any other genuine options out there right now.

I ditched it years ago mate, life is so much better without it.}

I'd take Carlo Ancelotti if he is available when Klopp hangs up his LFC cap. As much as i think Klopp is to blame for our current predicament though, there's nobody I'd trust more to fix it.

12 Jan 2023 16:29:39
Xabi Alonso will win an unlikely Bundesliga and Europa League with Leverkusen, before taking over from Klopp in 2026. You heard it here first.

12 Jan 2023 16:48:40
Thought the same ed001 - the options are so limited.

If klopp walked, I’d probably take a leaf out of your book mate and ditch social media ?.

12 Jan 2023 16:49:32
If/ when Klopp decides to leave my fear is that Pep will be promoted.

12 Jan 2023 17:12:31
There’s an absolute dearth of options out there. Klopp should stay. It’s the owners who can go. My fear too is that Pep would get the job and be the second coming of Bodgers.

12 Jan 2023 18:40:30
VVVV - just out of interest, where do you live pal?

12 Jan 2023 18:56:28
Rafa and Stevie dream ticket lads.

12 Jan 2023 18:11:58
Potter could be in the market for a job by then. He’d be my choice.

Ed do you think Bielsa would be a good fit at Liverpool?

{Ed001's Note - no, I love Bielsa but I don't think he would fit at Liverpool.}

12 Jan 2023 19:27:28
Only if the dream is a nightmare, Something Red.

12 Jan 2023 20:00:25
Not really any of your business Drogie. With due respect.

12 Jan 2023 20:37:29
Kloppalypse, funny thing is, from a skill set point of view, they cover a lot of each others' deficiencies. Rafa's a tactician who can spot a player (when he bothers to scout them himself and not leave it to Eduardo "Stevie Wonder" Macia) and Gerrard's better with the players on the training pitch, but can't do tactics to save his life.

They'd both want to be the sole man in charge though and that'd ruin it. Wouldn't say either'd be inspiring to listen to as well.

12 Jan 2023 21:16:56
Marcelo Gallardo would be my pick. Hope Klopp stays though and sorts it out.

12 Jan 2023 21:51:47
VVVV bit touchy. lol.

13 Jan 2023 01:20:47
Zidane anyone?

13 Jan 2023 02:34:49
I don't think it's touchy of VVV at all, if a stranger online asked me that question I would most likely give him the same response. And I do think its a bit tedious now everyone seems to be ganging up on VVV, sure he's very passionate and vocal about what he believes in, but I do believe it's borderline bullying now the messages that get directed at him.
Anyway back to football, I dread the thought of the day klopp leaves, as I really cannot see anybody out there at present who could adequately replace him. As much as this season is paining me so far, I'm willing to write it off as a season of " transition " klopp is older and wiser now than he was at dortmund, and he does genuinely love LFC, I can't see him walking, the forward line is changing, and the midfield will too no doubt, problem is none of us " supporters " have any patience. I'm a believer though and deep down I know we will soon be tasting glory yet again. One thing LFC is renowned for is rising above adversity.

13 Jan 2023 07:07:33
Walkon 79, its not bullying at all, I think people are just fed up of the constant slagging off of the team etc. It's nothing personal, well certainly not from my perspective but it is extremely tiresome. VVVV, it really is nothing personal, just need to lighten up!
