Afternoon all and Eds,

I have no idea we’re we’ll end up manager wise and will accept whoever comes in - huge shoes to fill, but we must move on.

So, are there any managers in the Prem we would like to see given a chance - only examples names and not suggestion - but the likes of Rob Edward’s or Vincent Kompany FOR EXAMPLE.

Just wondering and agree before saying, yes it comes with great risk I know.

I think the direction seems to be heading for Amorim, but that is press and media - so no idea myself ??‍♂️.

Agree1 Disagree0

No idea either mate, haven't got a clue. People and the media are coming out with all sorts. One thing for sure is, people won't be happy with whoever it is until they prove themselves. It's a hard job taking over after Klopp. Nobody will find it easy but I suppose it's upto us to support whoever comes in and hope for the best.

Short answer Who, no, there isn’t any current premier league manager who is fit to be our new manager. And certainly not Kompany.

We may not be the best option for some managers. Barca, Bayern maybe the mancs great choice to have if everyone goes after the same one.

All of us fans have to accept that whoever comes in is not Klopp, accept we’ve had a good period under him and get behind the new manager with all we’ve got.

Hansi Flick is keen on managing in the Premier League, according to the BBC, and is currently available. I am still somewhat surprised that Diego Simeone's name hasn't come up more. Still a very talented manager and could be a decent fit for our club.

How would Simeone be a decent fit for our club? A cheating scumbag that plays anti-football?

Keep Simeone away from our club at all costs.

Diego Simeone is the highest paid manager in professional football, at 30 Million per year. I very much doubt FSG will take this route.

Diego Simeone gets the best out of what he has, his players will run through walls for him, he has a great relationship with the supporters, he’s won titles in a very difficult league which is only usually Real or Barca. He knows how to defend and he knows how to win ugly when needed. I’d rather him than Nagelsmann or Flick, Nagelsmann for the reasons I’ve said before and Flick has had no success beyond the comfort zone of Bayern Munich. Guarantee that if Simeone was our manager and we won ugly at City and United and he rubbed it the faces of Gaurdiola and Seven Hag to wind them up while he was at it, you’d all love it,

Atletico are dire to watch. His football is aking to Mourinho's during his first stint at Chelsea. Super defensive, extremely ugly, and low scoring. I don't believe that he can get the best out of his players as well. Flair and attacking players seem to struggle under his style of play and don't seem to do as well as defensive-minded ones. Most of us here lamented the workman-like midfield that we had in Hendo and Milner. Well, under Simeone, you can multiply that by 10x since that is how he prefers all his players to play. We may win things and be competitive, but it won't be the attacking play that we expect our team to play with. So no, I don't think he is a good fit for us at all.

{Ed001's Note - Mourinho's first spell at Chelsea was not low scoring.}

I sort of agree with vv on the simeone, seems a horrible person but clearly he can’t be an arse to work for/ with. The players do seem to give there all for him. Defensive they are brilliant however. He’s definitely a coach that knows what he’s doing. However horrible he seems. Not sure how good he is in the market but they’ve had some very good players.
