I am sure I have seen Ed01 say he thinks Szlob could do a job on the right in an Arne Slot set up. He has a clean slate next season and a chance to show what he can do. If he can, it frees up other spots to squeeze Trent, Harvey and somehow Mac into the midfield. I don’t think anyone should panic if Salah is sold we will be absolutely fine in my opinion.

Salah is definitely staying. He's posted a picture on his socials of him with a shaved head. It's a blatant attempt to find common ground with Arne Slot. Should also reduce his air resistance and help him rediscover some pace.

As for Szobo, he may have the legs to play wide bUT I doubt he can play the wide role the way a true wide man/ winger can with all the trickery that comes with it. For me on the wing, Szobo plays the right side the way Hendo played it. We shall see.

I think Szoboszlai should play on the left. Salah on the right and Jota up top. Mac as the 10. Id have Trent and a Koopmeiners/ Thuram type then as the pivot. Bradley as right back.

I wonder what the expectations are for the season. That will show probably in the ambition in the transfer window.

HessleRedTom1980, that is the case now as we see it and that will be the case next season. That is the plain truth and anyone in denial is well and truly in denial, end of.
Personally, Im not expecting any title challenge or anything like that, just like many if not large majorities of the fan base did not think of that heading into this past season so I wouldn't get my hopes up on that front at this point.
So for me, Im excited for the change that is coming and what that might bring with Slot and his crew in charge so, let's wait and see.
