It would be nice too see shaq get a game at some point, would of been better playing him on left wing and the ox as attacking midfielder last night or vice versa can't help feel shaqiri brings creativity an scoring threat, right now its a lot too ask of ox too just pick up were he left of before injury . I hope shaqiri starts on weekend he needs too b involved cos he has it in is locker too be very useful .

I feel like anywhere Ox plays, especially if he starts, is going to be a big ask on his knee. I'd like to see Ox coming off the bench but then again, today was an opportunity to try some things.

Faithinworks - do you work in the Liverpool medical team? Didn’t realise you were such a pro on knee injuries. Personally in these instances I tend to trust Klopp and the trained professional medical staff at the club. If they think that Ox can do a job starting the match then I think he probably can too.

don't think the wing is nowhere near Ox's best spot thought he would have been better in the middle can't remember him having a good game for us out there the odd time he has played there.

Red Sandman, Faith only gave his opinion so not sure what your post is all about, really? Now as someone who had reconstructive knee surgery (torn patela tendon and broken knee cap) playing NFL-type football, I can tell you that Faiths premise is correct. Ox's knee may be fully heeled BUT it is yet to be means-tested on the field of play, where it matters. Do not also underestimate the psychological effects that an injury like that can have on a player's recovery process. Ox has to learn to trust that need to hold up whenever he pushes on it in any way. It's going to be a process for him BUT he has to play if he wants to get through it.

I agree, much better in midfield carrying the ball at the defence. Shaqiri would be my pick to rotate the wingers and Origi for Firmino (although he just demonstrated yet again how important he is to our system! )

Redwolf - my point is that the Liverpool medical staff are not a bunch of clueless idiots. They know this all better than us. If they thought that Ox could handle starting a match then he probably could. I’ve had a pretty tasty knee injury in my day as well and know how long it can take. My point is that Liverpool has hired a team of professionals to look after our players - if they think the Ox is ready and can start a game then he probably can. How can we get Ox to improve and his confidence To grow if we don’t play him?

I don't think the ox was happy to be playing lw. He wants to play cm and is very good at it. He can be dangerous though from the wing. Id like to see shaq gwtting the forward roles. He is cuter around the box

Like to see aoc playing cm more.

I agree Red Sandman. Trust the medical staff and Klopp etc. They know what they are doing for sure. I'm certain they will have Ox's best interests at heart.

Red Sandman, your point is more than valid on the merits however, that is not my issue with your comment. You seemed to suggest that just cos Faithinworks or any of us, don't have the qualifications medically or are not privy to the info Klopp and the med. staff have therefore, we are no longer allowed to comment on such topics. That is how it came across. The whole "useless idiots" stuff is something you said. Neither Faith nor myself mentioned any of that. We are allowed to speak on whatever we like and the last time I checked, you don't need to have med. qualifications to comment on a player's injury. That was my challenge to you in my post.

Redwolf - I think at the heart of this it’s one of the short falls of this amazing website. If I had said what I had said down at the pub we could have had a back a forth and you could have understood the nuance of my comment. The issue with my initial statement is that if read in isolation it appears that I’m having a big go at Faithinworks. No offence or “having a go” from my comment - just me saying in these instances I trust the medical staff. If they say AOC is a go then Red Sandman thinks he is a go.

Bloody hell we haven't even started on lallana yet, God help us when he gets in that jorgihno role, yikes!

just say you trust the medical team then. why do you got to the next step of questioning my credentials? we're all fans here mate and of all the different types of banter on here the one where posters stoop to the level of 'are you the manager', 'are you the doctorl' etc are the lowest form of debate here. Obviously we're not but we all have experience that us valuable to add. if you said that in a pub ti a random it would most likely come across as a challenge to their integrity. So online I'd avoid. just make your own point bro/ sis without taking a stab at other's credentials.
