Love Reading opinions on here even if they don't match what my own personal opinion is. So I will like to stick my nose is, why are people writing firmino off and to some extent saying sell him? Isn't this a squad game, haven't we all be desperate to have actually class alternatives to a starting 11? Yea jota has settled in really well and I think every lfc supporter and dog has been delighted with his start but rewind 12 months or so ago and I seen people saying Bobby our irreplaceable cog in the way we play? Yea he has had a bit if a bad run but don't think its anywhere near as bad as people make out, during this so called bad run he has played more mins than mane and salah in which we won the prem league, whilst us fans may not always see or appreciate what he does Klopp clearly does and many more times than not plays him. Let's jus be happy that we now have options to change a game that isn't going and can make a sub whoever that may be that could turn a sub par result into an actual positive one.

{Ed0666's Note - I love this post. Extremely enjoyable read and I agree wholeheartedly with every word.

Fickle people are saying sell him, I cringe most days reading some of the posts. Firmino is class it he's having a off period that's all.

I certainly ain't writing bobby off and words can't explain how grateful I am he has worn the red shirt an achieved so much, but his form is not great, so having a quality back up as an option is an excellent headache for us now and long overdue.

{Ed0666's Note - All players go through patches of bad form it would be absurd to suggest he won’t spark back to life again soon.

As I say peoples opinions our there own, that's what makes football so great. I have opinions that many won't agree with but its always a great debate and I love coming off here thinking I may have learned something or maybe altered my opinion slightly because someone has brought something to my attention I may have not noticed. On a side note its also worth noting that we may be without manè and especially salah for extended periods next season due to Olympics and ACON so may need as many quality players as possible to fill voids left.

To be honest, all this sell bobby rubbish makes a joke out of ynwa. Yeah, I get jota is doing great but bobby gives us something different. Fans are too quick to forget.

05 Nov 2020 10:18:04
Look at the squad Utd had back in their prime class players on the bench, no players complaining, no fan's complaining as they watched the trophy cabinet fill up because they knew that it takes a good squad to win trophies and that's exactly what we have. Nobody looking to leave and nobody wanting players to leave either lad's YNWA.

Great read, OP. Liverpoolmanc and Ed666, don't forget that there is a campaign going on via SM that rival fans are peddling to say that Bobbie should be dropped or sold which IMO, is a ploy to divide the fan base and turn us against our very own Bobbie Dazzler. I have seen this with my own eyes and a lot of rival fan channels are saying the same thing and LFC fans on line are buying it. LFC fans, Don't eat the cheese off the mouse trap!

These rival fans are nothing but concern-trolls who really don't want the best for us and don't want Bobbie to start scoring goals again cos they know how brilliant and they are in trouble if he does get back to top form. We know how great Bobbie is and he is having a rough time right now and needs our support. If he needs a rest, Klopp will do the right thing for him and the club but stop all this other stuff cos Klopp will play Bobbie regardless of what you or I think.

No way should Bobby be sold as we now have 4 top class players for a front 3 system, or even all 4 play when Klopp changes tactics. I find it strange though all the people kicking off about someone suggesting selling Bobby. After all its only their opinion. Shame no one seems to mind when its suggested we have to sell Salah or Mane at the end of seasons due to their ages and to help with our so called rebuild. Hey ho though.

{Ed002's Note - If Liverpool wish to add players then space needs to be made in the squad. And changes will be made.}

05 Nov 2020 11:00:02
Agreed. Bobby should definitely not be sold. Jota is a different kind of poison and whoever starts out of the front 3 will make teams look at the bench in fear. Imagine 70minutes in and jota comes on. Defenders would be trembling.

05 Nov 2020 11:06:44
Ed002 agree on that mate and I'm sure there are plenty of players that Klopp has in mind that he would move on to create that space. I'd be very surprised if any of the front 4 (Bobby, Mo, Sadio and Jota) are on that list. But for us to spend we would need to create funds by selling players so i suppose it all depends on what the cost of the players are Klopp would like to recruit in the future. The argument for moving Salah and Mane on with some fans is their age, future sell on value and money we would get for them but surely Bobby falls under that umbrella also. For me we need to keep all of our best players. This is the best squad we have had in a very long tome.

{Ed002's Note - The problem will be to find buyers. Obviously you are aware that the representatives of Mane and Salah have tried to find options for the players - but for now they do not exist.}

It is just the way the football supporters are. Goal scorers and assisters are given God like status. The hard workers like Firmino, Henderson, Lucas Leiva never get their due easily. Firmino performs a particular role in the team. The opposition seem to have figured that out and are specifically targetting him. It is affecting our overall play. If that is not testimony to his importance in our team, I don't what is. Presently, Jota's entry into the front three means we are playing slightly differently and more fluidly that is benefiting us. In long run, we will require both. I do not think it has anything to do with Firmino's form.

Haven’t read one thing saying sell bobby did I miss that?

05 Nov 2020 13:06:15
We supported Crouch through his initial barren spell, can't we do the same for Bobby?

05 Nov 2020 13:21:10
Never sell bobby unless he wanted to go. But he needs time on the bench and to be a substitute for now. Jota is scoring and its not hindering mane or salah so for me id stick with it, until a unfortunate injury occurs. Not faulting Bobby's desire or link up play but surely we all see he needs to score more regularly.1 goal at home in a full season. and it was the last game too. isn't great im afraid.

05 Nov 2020 14:59:46
the thing is if Jota does come in and carries scoring and playing well great different options a bobby off the bench in the 70th minute against tired legs and minds would be lethal.

05 Nov 2020 15:56:10
Great point Kloppers.

05 Nov 2020 16:58:03
I agree with that as well, having one of them off the bench is a massive step forward. Hopefully Bobby comes good v City he has a little point to prove.

05 Nov 2020 16:59:19
I’m not going to get embroiled in any debate bout selling Bobby. If anyone thinks he should be sold then they haven’t got the brain capacity to comprehend my devout loyalty and gratefulness to the man!

05 Nov 2020 22:16:31
It's ghe way people are saying sell Bobby. Its absolutely ridiculous and sickening. The guy has been absolutely brilliant for us and helped us reach the place we've all dreamed of for 30 years.

Jota is obviously a class player but he's only played a few games. He will have patches when his form isn't as good as it could be.

If i was forced to choose between ghe two I wouldn't even have to think about it. Happily I don't, happily we have 4 very good forwards at the club. Jota probably a better finisher, or cooler in front of goal at least, but Bobby has the better vision and first touch.

05 Nov 2020 22:45:02
Oh, I'd choose bf if anyone was in any doubt.

05 Nov 2020 22:55:30
Who exactly has said sell Bobby?

05 Nov 2020 23:54:14
JK23, I for one, have never advocated for Salah, Mane or any of our front 3 to be sold and people can want them sold as that is their opinion. That said, they need to have valid reasons to support their opinion and not just cos they feel like it otherwise, their opinions will be challenged.
