With all the commotion about Phillips, Kabak and Williams, everyone has forgotten about Ben Davies. Bought on a 4 year contract ending in 2025. What do you do about him? I don't see the club selling him.

I have no idea what's going on there. I really want it to work for him so I hope it's a matter of acclimatisation to the playing style. If Tsimiskas leaves in search of more regular football, Davies could become very useful as he can also play left back as well as centre back.

I’d like to see Davies given a chance given how little he cost to buy and it’s always good to see a player come good from the lower leagues.

Get him fit, use him as a back up left back where I think he has played before and move on Tsimikas, who might be looking to move on anyway.

Emergency stop gap. We got him dirt cheap because he had 6 months left on his contract and PNE didn't want to lose him for nothing. Clubs were sniffing around for £5-10m before his contract ran down. I think the plan was always to get him in due to all our injuries as cover and sell him on in the summer for a small profit. Sadly he has been injured so never even got a chance. Just my opinion, not coming from any insight etc. I really doubt he'll ever play a competitive game for Liverpool.

OP, I cannot forget about someone who by all accounts does not exist in reality. I am starting to think that the guy was a hologram from day one.

JK of course BUT Davies was an insurance policy should we not get Kabak over the line. And even at that, the guy cannot handle the training cos he seems to be injured all the time. Not sure he will be here next season. Sad.
