Does anyone know about the midfield?

Thiago, Fab and Ox are fit.
Hendo is a doubt.
Keita, Jones and Elliot are out.
Milly?

We have 8 first team midfielders (9 if you put Taki there), I don't go with those who say we should have bought another midfielder. If 8 isn't enough then what number would be. Unlucky with injuries, that's all.

Potclay we’ve 8 and from those 3/ 4 are injury prone.
Milly is 36.
Eliot is only coming back from serious injury!
Jones has a eye injury.
I don’t think klopp trusts mini to much!
Our fittest mid left in the summer the ever green gini!
Anyway I disagree and at least one solid mid should of been brought in!

I don't think it's being unlucky with injuries or players being overly injury prone. Klopp's midfield is a high pressure physically demanding position, players are going to get injured and regularly.
And it would have been nice to have another midfield body, but who was available last summer for the spare change we had from busking outside Anfield?

At the start of the season we would probably have thought that Elliot and Curtis would have been fit most of the time. Milly and Hendo between them should be able to cover 1 slot and Fab and Thiago could play most games between them as well. Keita and Ox generally have been injured a lot. With the two young lads out, its put pressure on the rest.

Klopp has a huge squad. If he can't set up a midfield which can function from Fabinho, Thiago, Ox, Taki and Morton then he's not as good as we think he is. He could even play Trent or Neco in there if needed. Matip and Gomez have both played defensive midfield in the past.

Christ how many players do we need before people will stop complaining about injuries. Last season was a freak. No team ever has or will ever again lose their first 5 centre backs to long term injury.

Look we didn’t have the money to buy in the summer and we still need to off load the likes of Ox, Minamino, Origi, Keita (Please let that happen)
The one guy we spent £34m on has sat on his ass for the last 6 months and we didn’t spend wisely in my opinion.
You all panic about Edward’s leaving but without any cash, he can’t do eff all anyway!
We need a new striker and a top class midfielder with a reliable injury record and an engine- FACT.

so and so being injured, injury prone or not good enough does't change the fact that we have 8 midfielders on the books. thank goodness Edwards is leaving. perhaps we can find someone who can build the squad better

Some fans seem massively against signings like it’s the devils work. They do realise that we’ve at some point bought every single player in our squad except Trent and Jones etc.
If some people actually believed their own hype then we should never have even signed Salah, Mane and Vvd etc in the first place.

Spot on, MK. We have 8 midfielders and regardless of whether some are injury prone or not, we have 8 of them, period. Now if we wanted to add a couple then my question then becomes, who leaves? Cos you can’t stockpile players for fun cos there is a 25 player threshold plus the home grown quota.

Also if we had players to sell like Naby, Ox or even Divvy, who was going to take them off our hands fir what we want? How were we supposed to handle the home grown quota thingy? Nobody ever talks about these realities cos it’s easier to big up Gini who isn’t even here anymore, slander FSG cos that’s too easy, than recognises these issues.

I wanted Bissouma from jump as well but all I mentioned above is the actual reality, not FIFA fantasies. We have who we have so deal with it instead of always complaining whenever a player breaks a nail. It’s footie.
