I'm surprised that Klopp hasn't pulled out of buy MC if he only wants Chelsea. Shame but rather have players who want to play for us. What's your opinion ed001

Anyone think klopps comment regarding not having endless resources etc and stating not expecting Henderson and fabinho to leave is actually to highlight they would have wanted to bid earlier, (reason Chelsea are favourite due to putting work in all pre season) rather than an excuse for bidding such a big fee?

I agree with the Ed about throwing his toys out. But two questions to you all . 1. How does a young player get like that? Surely his first big role and opportunity was Brighton! so I don’t understand the speed of that type of attitude.
2. Where do lfc go from here? I think still time for the window but at the moment I have no idea who they would go after because if they don’t we could be in a bit of trouble again.

Well Ed25, you were right after all. This player attitude is questionable. His agent is a big red flag. Wont be suprised if he's going to twerk for Madrid or Barcelona in 2 years time.

He may well be money hungry but try and look at it from a wider picture. He is from Ecuador and has openly said he has a large family that is very poor. So in his head he wants the best for them and unfortunately that leaves him open to outside influence that may not have his best footballing interest in mind. Not long ago he was playing in Ecuador. Actually it was literally only a few years ago. This is why having a good team around you is essential.
Now, removing my red tinted glasses off I am well aware we are not everyone’s first choice, I understand that. But this Chelsea love in as you were doesn’t wash with me. Especially when you consider it was Arsenal at one point, not to mention United and Madrid that were his one and only dream club. From simply a footballing perspective, if he had a good team around him that was advising him on what’s best for his career - NO WAY does he turn Liverpool down for Chelsea who were technically out of the running. Nevermind a Chelsea that finished 12th and are in a massive transitional period. And let’s be honest as bad as we were they were 100 times worse, which is impressive. If Caicedo is off to Chelsea we have to go and get Lavia and Florentino!

I have no problem with Caicedo not wanting to join LFC and preferring another team (s) . We all have our preferences in life ; no need to get judgemental about it. But I do have a problem with the club making an offer which is in fact an EPL record, and yet did not check with the player if he would consider us as his club should his current club accept an offer? Even if they did, and you can dress it up in as many ways as you like, but at the end of the day, our club does not exactly look good in terms of strategy and recruitment procedures. Or did they think that Brighton would be able to shove any club of their choice down Caicedo's throat as long as they got the money they wanted? Doesn't work that way with players anymore.
In my work since 40 years, I buy and sell from morning to night. And every single transaction involves negotiation. I never mind when there is a failed sale, because there's always another opportunity. But I get royally p*ssed with being unable (or fail) to purchase something that i really wanted. Probably because I know you never know if something similar will come to you again for purchase or not.

ArAy, apparently Caicedo was ready to come to us but his agent got in his ear and convinced him to hold off his Chelsea would come back for him, per some in the media. Now if that is true which is 50/ 50 at best then, it means he was told that the club he wants to go to did not quit on him. Again, if this news is true.

Oli, ah, I didn't know that. So it is all just about the money, after all. I've been defending Henderson and Fabinho for their moves, but I sure as hell am not defending this guy. ?.
