Hi Eds,

Just curious as to the situation surrounding Harry Wilson and whether you have any information as to his future? Was a fascinating interview he had on BT Sport at the weekend and would seem he is ready to fight for his place, i guess its just a case of whether he'll be given the opportunity upon his return. Personally wouldn't mind him as a squad player, could fill the void of Shaqiri should he go in the summer.

{Ed002's Note - Minamino likely ends his Liverpool career. Liverpool will look to bring in an AM player to replace Shaqiri.}

Wouldn't it be fun if they introduced a rule where you could sub a player on just to take free kicks?

Ed’s,

Who would we be looking to bring in? Sorry if you have said before but haven’t seen anything.

{Ed002's Note - There is no change as far as I know to the players who the club have an interest in like Todd Cantwell (LM), Amine Harit (AM/RW/LW), Kai Havertz (AM), Filip Stevanovic (AM/LW) remain of interest and Philippe Coutinho (AM/LW) will likely be discussed.}

09 Mar 2020 19:01:31
Any specific specimen for AM?
Thanks ED2.

{Ed002's Note - Nothing has changed.}

09 Mar 2020 20:19:42
surprised Coutinho might be discussed Ed, thought that ship had sailed mate the way he left the club.

{Ed002's Note - Don’t be surprised. Barcelona won’t take him back - it might fix a problem.}

09 Mar 2020 21:19:26
I guess. I’d prefer Havertz but the cost would be quite a bit more I would think.

09 Mar 2020 21:54:58
Worth shelling out on Havertz, he's a beast.

10 Mar 2020 03:21:53
Would this AM be on top of a striker like Werner? Coz I can see Shaqiri, Origi and even Keita being moved on. So we definitely need a forward and creative midfielder.

10 Mar 2020 04:17:32
I have only seen Todd Cantwell play against Liverpool, leaving talent out of this he did look quite light weight so I am not sure he would fit our style with his current shape.

10 Mar 2020 11:38:23
id rather give Curtis and Elliot a chance over Cantwell.

10 Mar 2020 13:20:03
I've watched Cantwell on a few occasions this season and he seems entirely incapable of staying upright.
If he can resolve his gravity issues he might be OK.

10 Mar 2020 14:50:46
I am not sure coutinho would be an option unless he took a drop in wages I dread to think what he is on at Barca.

10 Mar 2020 17:36:49
Can you elaborate on what problem Couts might fix, Ed002?

{Ed002's Note - Him not being replaced.}

10 Mar 2020 19:16:06
Correctamundo Ed002.
He never has been replaced.
We excelled without him, yes.
But we can be better still with him. I’ve always maintained that.

10 Mar 2020 21:01:07
Ed002 would Wilson have a better chance to make it with us if he played on the left? Could he play on the left for us as Klopp likes his forwards cutting inside unto their strong foot with the real width being provided in conjunction with the full backs? Also would Couts come back to spend a fair amount of time on the bench as I don't think he would be an automatic starter especially in the biggest games.

{Ed002's Note - Right, so he needs to think "do I have any sort of career playing in League Cup games for Liverpool" or being a starter at many sides who will give him a go. Remember Liverpool changed tact to buying success - Klopp admitted it, and that will spoil the chances of for a number of the younger players - certainly those over 21 who are taling up a first team slot.}

10 Mar 2020 21:01:13
I think Ed2 has been at the wind up juice 😉.

10 Mar 2020 22:29:23
Tbf Ed I think we are all a bit shocked mate that he would be even considered for a return to our club given the lengths he went to to get out with his back injury etc.

11 Mar 2020 11:08:27
I'm shocked anyone could seriously say we buy success!

11 Mar 2020 16:03:01
It’s coming out that Havertz has agreed Bayern move.

11 Mar 2020 18:17:07
Do you think liverpool would ever revive interest in Fekir. Or has that ship completely sailed. Would it be dependant on someone like Salah leaving. Haven't seen him play much this season but he was very good against Madrid on the weekend and would presume he might be looking to join a higher profile team than Betis.

{Ed002's Note - Right now there has been no Liverpool interest in Fekir. He has had a tough time at Betis and was being offered around in January.}

11 Mar 2020 22:55:47
Ed with Coutinho, do you see that as something klopp would consider?

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not sold on the idea, but take today’s game, ball falls edge of the box, I’d back Coutinho over most of our players. If he’s got the ten role, with Fabinho and hendo behind, license to roam, he is creative, he can produce magic and we haven’t got anyone quite like that.

{Ed002's Note - I am sure it is something that might be discussed. I am not sure it would happen.}

12 Mar 2020 00:33:32
So if coutinho is playing ahead of fabinho and hendo tonight that means gini and OX are left out, . So OX crosses to gini to score first goal, then gini dribbles and crosses to create 2nd goal, while OX was a constant threat and hit a number of long range strikes sweetly which required top drawer saves from oblak. How would coutinho be more effective than that? Jonjo shelvey, Charlie Adam, aquilani, Raul meireles would arguably also be better strikers from distance than our midfielders but you can't consider that to justify a place in the team based on hindsight following a loss.

12 Mar 2020 05:45:49
Coutinho is a great player, I agree, but I doubt that he would really want to come to us anyways, the way he left last time.
If Liverpool asked him, he would definitely say no to come back.
