Disappointed we are out it kids the young lads a run out! Penos are a lottery but origi and his mr cool effort did us! I think his time is done with us games by pass him. He’s been a hero in times but I thinks it’s over.

Agree7 Disagree0

I don't know about getting rid of origi that quick. We would be hard pushed to find a player of his quality with a knack for vital goals to come and sit on the bench week in week out . He didn't perform at his best when he came on but I wouldn't be ruling him out that quick.

01 Oct 2020 22:12:50
OP, Origi missed a penalty. Clearly he is the first player in history to ever miss a penalty. Origi did us BUT Wilson didn't? Your logic or do you get to choose who did us and who didn't?

As for the game, we were the better team by far. Bossed their majority first team all game and like I have said before for months, we are not taking our chances and like the Atletico game at Anfield, THAT is what did us. Slamming players for having the guts to take penalties is a sign of complete weakness and bitterness, IMO.

01 Oct 2020 22:16:09
I’m not arsed to be honest. Going out on penalties in the B team cup is not the end of the world. Beat Villa on Sunday and this is forgotten.

01 Oct 2020 22:22:23
Player missed a pen, ship him out NOW!

You know there's legit reasons to think it might be best for Div to go without picking on a penalty miss?

I'm only disappointed because we were better than them by a margin in the second half and created chances that should've been put away. The Carabao Cup is otherwise not a concern.

01 Oct 2020 22:25:22
That cup matter to us a lot once ago we are too big for it now are we? Red mister I think I should watch origis peno again it’s absolutely s#%#% he scores that and we’ve a foot in the nxt round be strolls up and it’s pish! He does nottin in games yeah a few hero goals we will nvr forget but other then that he doesn’t play out tempo he’s a big unit and does Notting with his size he should be putting the fear of god into defenders but instead he likes a step over! I like that lad but I just don’t see a future here with him that’s all!

01 Oct 2020 22:34:47
Jay, who would you have in his place then? Not his best game but someone worth having on the bench. This season is all about having a good squad. Any positive tests and a player could miss 3 game. Origi is someone that can short term fill and won't moan about being on the bench. Of ox was fitter I might agree with you, but until at least jan, he is more then good enough.

01 Oct 2020 22:39:47
I'm not fussed to be honest, it is what it is. I think we were the better team overall but it was a scrappy game. Origi wasn't his best but it's not a big deal, it can happen to anybody.

01 Oct 2020 22:41:59
Disappointed also, want to win every game, although far from a disaster.

Not quite sure why Wilson played 🤔 That lad needs a move in the next few days it's getting a bit silly.

01 Oct 2020 22:46:31
People acting as if origi didn't care if he scored or not. Its his style, usually works.

Like Red Meister said = not everyone has the bottle to step up for a pen.

Someone else said there may be decent reasons for origi to move on. But it's not because he didn't score tonight. It happens. We were the best team by a mile and Leno kept them in it. Fair play, it means more to arsenal than it does to us. We have a legitimate chance of winning big trophies this year, gunners don't.

01 Oct 2020 22:51:36
'it means more to arsenal than it does to us. We have a legitimate chance of winning big trophies this year, gunners don't. '

Spot on Robbie.

01 Oct 2020 22:56:19
Liverpoolmanc. Origi doesn’t suit our system it’s was a bad peno but it’s irrelevant now! He’s a big lad but is just to soft he should be a terror defenders should be sayin Awe s#%# her comes origi!
I’m sure he’d get 20/ 25m in a sale Jota takes his place or I’m sure the scouts have over targets too!
Origi will forever stay a hero I don’t see the same fuss made about gini and his crucial goals.

01 Oct 2020 23:01:37
JDB, here is what you are unable to understand. I don't give 2 flips of the coin of how a player takes a penalty or who takes it. Origi is a super chill dude and takes life easy. It is who he is. How do you think he was able to take his chances in high pressure moments in the CL? Cos he does not panic and has ice in his veins. So he missed a penalty. Get him out of the club. Absolute joke.

That game should never have gone to penalties to begin with considering the chances we created, We should have been up by 3 before Arsenal got their only chance in the game. That is my point and that should be the main lesson to be learned here. Getting on

You getting on Origi's back is just petty and bitter and it tells me that you have no idea how football actually works. I also find it funny that you are getting on Origi's back that he did nothing and missed a penalty. Harry Wilson was crap ALL game long and MISSED a penalty (second player to ever do that in football history after Origi, apparently) yet you are all quiet about him, yeah? Maybe you can explain to us why. Biased much?

01 Oct 2020 23:03:38
The only thing holding Origi back is Origi.
He’s a big, strong, quick lad but almost something of a gentle giant.
He seems quite laid back and quiet, you just wish that someone or something would make him angry and the. he’d be a real handful.

01 Oct 2020 23:03:51
"That cup matter to us a lot once ago we are too big for it now are we? "

Pretty much, to be honest.

01 Oct 2020 23:09:07
Wanting someone to leave the club because they missed a pen is an over reaction. I like Origi and he’s given us some great Moments. However I do think this team is moving forward all the time and he’s slightly stood still. I can’t really remember his last good game for us. That’s not a criticism just a general observation. For me I think it’s the CL final over a year ago. Yes he scored a good goal last game of the season v Newcastle but he wasn’t at his best at any other part of that game. Maybe I’m being too harsh on him but for me he is now the 3rd choice forward replacement. And if Shaq stays and Elliott continues to improve he could find himself even further down that pecking order.

01 Oct 2020 23:11:18
Given a choice, I'd most definitely take the 3 points from Sunday then progress in the League Cup. I do hate losing to Aresenal becasue we are clearly the better club at this point in time. No disrespect to them, they are on their way back no doubt.

01 Oct 2020 23:25:35
Leno was fantastic. How he saved that jota shot! What a performance. Liverpool were totally dominant. I think klopp and Co will know that, there are positives to take from the game.

The young centre back had a good game.

02 Oct 2020 05:26:28
Before you blame Origi, blame Salah. He was the worst person on the field and he played like it was an insult to be on the pitch!

02 Oct 2020 07:27:24
Origi ight seem a bit soft, but not when he lashes the ball. he can hit it.

{Ed025's Note - yeah but once every preston guild is not good enough robbie..

02 Oct 2020 07:39:44
I don’t origi Want to leave because he missed the peno it’s because he doesn't suit our play he is too laid back he offers nout!
Red Meister don't talk crap with your I don’t understand the game (he’s ice ruining through his veins) get a grip of yourself if he was a regular starter and goal scorer I’d probably agree! As for Wilson he hasn’t played for LFC in nearly 3 years he should nvr of been playing either!

02 Oct 2020 07:35:16
Would you take origi at Everton ed025? Hypothetically of course. If he were available for 25mil?

{Ed025's Note - no robbie, even though kean wants away and we will be looking for a striker i would hope for better than divock mate, i would rate him as a low premiership or high championship player myself and hopefully we are looking for better..

02 Oct 2020 11:47:23
I agree with Ed025,he's simply not good enough. And I don't mean for Liverpool I mean most of the teams in the Premier League. Someone said if he played every game he would be special, sometimes I worry about both peoples eyesight. and their mental well being.

{Ed025's Note - a lot of the guys on here wont have a bad word said against a liverpool player JH, i will have loyalty and even the wearing of red specs at times but some of them just cant see the wood for the trees mate..

02 Oct 2020 14:38:38
I hope he has a good career but I just think it should be somewhere else. I honestly think he would struggle to be the main striker at ANY Premier League club.

02 Oct 2020 19:19:35
'and their mental well being' nice guy you aren't you Jadon. Unreal, so because some of us support a Liverpool player you question somebodys mental well being? wow. Pull your head from your backside you absolute tool.

03 Oct 2020 02:41:57
Regarding origi most people use the fact he notched a few big goals to defend any fans saying he's not a fit in our system and can be replaced by a player better suited.

How long more should he be immune to any criticism in his play because of those past few goals. Sturridge scored big Everton goals, United goals, against arsenal and city. Last minute screamer against Chelsea, Europa league final cracker but we knew that was to be remembered fondly and his time to move on should have happened sooner.

Ryan Babel, yossi benayoun, Luis Garcia, Danny murphy all had a number of those big impacts and will be loved by us who celebrated their goals but the fact was that a time comes where we needed to look at getting better quality for the challenges ahead and not reminisce on the past few times he impacted a game when the majority of games he fails to perform at all.
