Based on the recent appointments and the potential incoming of Amorim, I would be extremely surprised if Inacio didn’t join the reds this summer. He is top of the Klopp, Fallows list for CB and would be a known reliable addition for Amorim if he decides to join.
I don’t see Sane joining from Bayern and I would personally like to see Kudus take the Salah position, young, talented, and already had a taste of the prem, would not come cheap but full of potential.

If I could pick 1 forward to put in this Liverpool team from the league it would have to be Cole palmer the lad is so good it’s a joke he’s not spoken about more . If/ when Chelsea have an upturn in form he will be the golden boy .

I actually think if he was still at city they might be a lot further ahead in the league than they are aswell . I like kudus but think palmer has that X factor as it all looks very easy as it does for the very very best players .

There are quite a few good wingers in the Prem with the profile to potentially replace Salah; i. e. can play on the right side, predominantly left footed, offer a creative and goal scoring threat. You've got Bailey, Mbuemo, Neto, Olise, Bowen, Palmer, Kulusevski, Saka, Kudus etc.

Palmer (21) and Saka (22) are the standouts but being honest, they'll be well out of our price range so not much point even considering them as options. Neto (24) and Olise (22) can't stay fit for long enough to put a run of form together so it's hard to gauge just how good they are. Kulusevski (23), Bailey (26) and Kudus (23) are all a bit too patchy for my liking, often going on long baron runs but probably also the 3 most refined players technically so well worth considering. Then you have Mbuemo (24) and Bowen (27) who are both more consistent goal threats but more due to aggression and work rate than refined ability.

I think I'd go for Bowen or Mbuemo personally. Both have shown the capacity to carry the goal scoring burden alone at times this season, which is a trait we've seen from Salah down the years as well. I just think they have the right mentality to step up to a big club that wants to win titles as they handled that pressure. They remind me a bit of Jota when he was at Wolves, with their tenacity and clinical edge. All just my opinion of course, as we might not even be interested in any of these players!

Palmer has that Quansah-like cool head and calmness that I admire and see in the best of players. Firmino had it too.

I think if it’s Amorim we’ll be looking at Leao from Milan. We should avoid Sane at all costs.

Ed’s can correct me if I am incorrect, but if we did get Amorim we would have to pay what ever his release or buy out clause is to get him. Which I don’t think would improve our already poor relationship with sporting. So can’t imagine it would make getting their players any easier. Not actually seen inacio but from what I’ve read on here would fit the bill for a cb that would improve us.

{Ed002's Note - Yes, for him and his staff.}

Palmer is a baller BUT is more of a no. 10 than a wide forward in the LFC mould. Sane? No freaking way. Personally, I do love Kudus who I think can improve massively under an Amorim for ex., than a hapless Moyes. Reminds me of a young Sadio Mane. I think he is better than (and younger) than Bowen and has a higher sealing than him based on well, the age difference.

If Amorim was to be brought in I wouldn’t rule out szoboslai being played in what we call the salah role and I think he would thrive in that.

Kudus for me.

Nice one, Jude. Baby Sadio, IMO.

No way would Villa sell us Bowen ?.

Olise for me. Kid has it all, except fitness.

No idea how likely Amorim is to join but if he does come in, I'd probably agree with you, Dhfc. He doesn't really play with wingers from what I've read, more with two no.10's playing off a striker, and wide men in the midfield 4 providing the width. That system might even offer a route back for Fabio Carvalho who would be very suited to that kind of forward midfield role. I genuinely think we're going to get de Zerbi though. Just a hunch and I personally think there are better options, but Hughes and Klopp are both big fans if you believe what you read. Edwards reportedly leans more towards Amorim because he's superior statistically. Only time will tell, but the media would have us believe it is whittling down to a straight shootout between those two.

Ron if Olise (who I like) is lacking in fitness then, that should be a red flag, no?

03 Apr 2024 13:11:00
From prem only…. kudus does look the best option. Olise too if he could stay fit. Always liked Bailey; great little player. I’d personally look elsewhere though because none of those would be anywhere near salahs standard. Even saka can’t replace salah. The young Japanese lad from sociedad looks a talent but around 60mill.
