OP, If Trent was Brazilian back in the day, he would be playing exactly where he is playing now for La Selecao: RB. Why? Cos back then, they played no. 8's at FB to ensure more quality on the ball cos they depended a lot on their FB's for creativity. Same for Dani Alves who was a winger and played RB his whole career.
Examples? Leonardo. In the 1994 WC, Leonardo played the LWB/ LB position whereas at Sao Paolo, he was playing the 8 role. He went to play for PSG and AC Milan and where did he play for both clubs? No. 10 role. And you can add Dani Alves who was a winger and played RB his whole career. It is the English who continue to staty in the stoneage when it comes to these topics and the evolution of football over generations, IMO.

I agree guys it's awful management by klopp it's no coincidence we won the game once endo came on and Trent played as the 8. For all the success klopp has he doesn't half make some daft choices. Keep Gomez right back going forward and Trent and szob as our 8s with endo at 6. Macca Jones and gravenberch sub options.
