Hi Eds,

Do we hold interest in Renato Sanches? Remember seeing us linked with him a couple months back. His ball retention and close control is excellent, wijnaldum-esque, I think its a no brainer if Klopp decides to stick with the same formation and tactics going into next season.

Cheers.

{Ed025's Note - i would very much doubt it benny, awful player and championship at best i would say mate..

23 Jun 2021 22:28:56
All of twitter would disagree with you Ed025. But cheers.

{Ed025's Note - no worries benny, they all thought i was wrong about bobby mate, but now humble pie is being eaten by the lorry load mate.. :)

Looked class against France tonite.

He looks great when the game is played at a very slow pace but he looked way out of his depth in England. I suspect he is not very good at reading the game so needs the extra time to catchup with what is going on.

His first touch is also absolutely woeful.

Everyone who is claiming he is a bad player is still looking at him when he lost his way at Munich and has a shocking spell at Swansea. He was ridiculous as a kid and has now grown into himself. He has been brilliant the last 2 seasons and was one of the main reasons Lille won the league alongside the Turkish striker. He seems to have found his confidence back and is showing it on the international stage.

24 Jun 2021 12:23:56
Right about Bobby? this the guy that's won it all over the last few years? i know he's struggled last season but c'mon.

Agree5 Disagree0

24 Jun 2021 13:31:16
BigVirg, have you watched Lille this year? I have a mate in the office is a Lille fan and he said that Sanches wouldn’t start a number of games. He is good but he was hardly “the reason” they won the league mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jun 2021 13:50:54
Hes one of a group of players the excel internationally, either because the setup just works for them or because the general standard isn't quite the same level as in clubs. Domestically he just doesn't cut the mustard atm. Still young but wouldn't start at any top 10 PL team.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jun 2021 14:09:47
Bobby has been brilliant for us and if anybody can't see that they prob don't understand football. No doubt its prob time for a new striker but he has been one of our best signings.

The same Bobby that outscored the great Richarlison last season.

Agree3 Disagree0

24 Jun 2021 14:16:15
Firmino has 211 PL games, 66 goals and 42 assists. Not exactly bad.

Was he not just a kid at Swansea?19-20?high high standards on this site.

You are still wrong about Bobbie, Ed25. Don’t kid yourself. He’s had a torrid time the last season or two BUT still showed the player we all know him to be in the final 10 games when we needed our big players to step up. Same with Thiago. Still scored more goals than your resident Brazilian Richarlison, tho. Fact.

He has served us very well and obv he is getting older and the wheels are starting to slow down BUT that does not remove from all he has done and achieved with us. Oh, and still scoring goals for Brazil as we speak. Humble pie? You wish.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i was asked in a podcast a couple of years ago to study him to see what he brings to the team oli...24 months later and im still waiting mate, the term "busy doing nothing" was certainly written for him.
If im not mistaken you once described him as a non-scoring centre forward...never a truer word said..

24 Jun 2021 21:03:06
The Ed is not wrong about Bobby. A striker who scores very little, lost his pressing prowess and his link up play is dyer over the last year. If we want to win titles again we won’t with him starting. We need to move forward.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - some dont want to hear it IPC, they think every liverpool player is "world class" mate..

25 Jun 2021 18:53:33
Firmino at his best was an incredible player but that best only lasted a little while and he’s been extremely average the last two seasons, but most of his goals do seem to come in important games. A striker to play with Salah and Mane and a midfielder to play with Thiago and Fabinho because of Henderson being injury prone should been the bare minimum if we have any interest in winning the league and CL. Retaining the net spend cup seems to be more important.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2021 15:16:34
Ed25, yes you see mistaken. While would I say such a thing about Bobbie when he has scored double digit goals for us in the PL including 27 goals in all comps in 17/ 18. You must have had me confused with one of your Neverton mates.

Also regarding that podcast you “listened” to. Tell me, was that the same one where you literally said, “Bobbie doesn’t do enuff for me. He doesn’t work hard enuff” and the other Ed’s were on the floor laughing at you for having no idea what Bobbie does? Of course Bobbie would be doing nothing if you actually watched him play with your eyes wide shut. Bobbie is an LFC legend. Nothing, not even your agenda against him will change that. The End.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - a legend hey oli???? come on mate get a grip, i watched and studied his game for a long while and without red glasses on and ill be honest...he ran around a lot and there was a plethora of little flicks but that was about it, nice guy dont get me wrong and amazing teeth and hair but for me more of an american gameshow host than a footballer..

23 Jun 2021 21:07:19
Fabrizio, just put out de Paul only 35 million euros to atletico, weren't we quoted upwards of 45?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

24 Jun 2021 00:09:12
We annoyed the owners of Udinese and Watford. So the owner will have two prices. Any everyone else price and an FSG price. Which is £10m more and everything up front.

Hey Ed's anything in the McGinn rumours? Seems an odd choice for Liverpool.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - John McGinn (CM) Whilst he would be cheaper than other options, I am not aware of any approach to Aston Villa although one of the Aston Villa coaches has shared he has been watched by Liverpool.}

23 Jun 2021 10:54:42
Not sure he’d be cheaper? They’re asking £50m+ by all accounts which is not so much steep as vertical.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jun 2021 11:23:32
I’m presuming the £50mill figure is wrong as I’d of thought bissouma would be cheaper than that. I quite like McGinn think he’d fit in pretty well, he’s got an engine and can play still.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jun 2021 11:58:16
That’s the price widely reported that Villa want and they’re not short of a few quid so don’t need to sell. We should hard pass at anything over £25m. I’d rather Bissouma or Neuhaus.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of Aston Villa quoting a price to Liverpool for the player.}

23 Jun 2021 12:01:49
John Mcginn would be an excellent player. Stand out player for Villa and Scotland, came from my Scottish team Hibernian where he again was the standout player, seriously underrated.

Agree3 Disagree0

23 Jun 2021 12:04:43
If Mcginn is 50 mill then the worlds gone mad! Phillips must be a 30mill player then.

Agree2 Disagree0

23 Jun 2021 12:19:16
Have people actually watched mcginn he’s a great little player . If he was called mcginnho and from fluminese people on here would be all over him . Not saying he’s the answer to our problems but he would make a great addition and give us some real energy and tenacity in the midfield . A lot worse options out their than him.

Agree5 Disagree0

23 Jun 2021 12:28:47
McGinn to Liverpool for £50 Million?
Shirley Knott!

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jun 2021 14:02:17
We can’t settle for him. City are chasing Kane and we want McGimp? Come off it, not a chance.

Agree4 Disagree0

23 Jun 2021 14:02:37
Was reported in the Athletic and various other sources that they want £50m (or very close to), he’s a decent premier league player but never worth that much. For that kind of price we can do far better.

Agree1 Disagree0

23 Jun 2021 14:45:17
Yeah we definitely don't want a Scot no one knows a lot about from an unfashionable team. That would be disastrous, what is Klopp even thinking about. Next will be someone saying he could be developed into one of the worlds best players in his position! How could that happen when nobody knows much about him?

Agree6 Disagree0

23 Jun 2021 14:52:08
Kane you do realise we paid 8 for Robertson! That's a calculated risk. At 50 million we better be buying the finished product.

Agree6 Disagree0

23 Jun 2021 15:02:34
McGinn: Waste of money!
My previous comments:
Ian St John? Waste of money!
Ray Kennedy? Waste of money!
An unknown keeper from Vancouver Whitecaps? Waste of time!
Gary McAllister? Too old and a waste of money!
James Milner? Waste of a free transfer!

I have a perfect track record. :-D.

Agree6 Disagree0

23 Jun 2021 15:24:27
He is a very good player but that is a hefty fee. I can only imagine what they must be valuing grealish at if its 50 mil for McGinn.

Still we can talk all day about players in but we need to get some out the door first.

Agree1 Disagree0

23 Jun 2021 16:07:18
Meammachinered, think Kane's post may have gone over your head a little.

Agree3 Disagree0

23 Jun 2021 17:49:10
If he was Robertson money or even £20m, I’d say we should be all over that, but £50m? Really? There’s multiple better options out there for that kind of outlay.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jun 2021 17:50:52
Paper talk. According to the journalists "the club aren't focused on signing a midfielder or attacker" yet we are being linked with loads from the same journalists. They clearly haven't a clue what's going on inside the club.

Agree1 Disagree0

23 Jun 2021 18:07:49
That’s very true also Oh Mane.

Having said all this, we should offer them a straight swap with Keita. Job done.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jun 2021 20:10:29
You would have to give them Keita and 51 mil VVVV.

Agree1 Disagree0

23 Jun 2021 20:55:54
I commented on another post the other day saying he's not worth £30M to us for a squad player but I thought Villa would want a little more than £30M as he is worth more to them.

£50M is silly money for him though.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Jun 2021 08:26:02
MacGinn ain’t no 50m pound player even I think he is very good. For 50m we can get a lot better than him on the PL like Bissouma or even Neuhaus and others. Sorry, hard pass on him for 50m.

Agree1 Disagree0

Hey Ed's
What is the feeling within the club about kamil Grabara if I recall rightly he was ahead of kelleher in his development a few years ago hence the need to loan him out or is he going to be another on the to be sold list with no future at the club

Just been through the current squad and the amount of players we have with little to no future at the club on the books is shocking . Could raise a few quid but the buying clubs know we want rid so in the words of you Ed's we need to be realistic with prices .

Cheers.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Kamil Grabara (G) AGF want to make the loan permanent to keep him in Aahus but Liverpool have told them there is interest from elsewhere.}

23 Jun 2021 12:16:57
Shame he has looked a decent prospect, unfortunately that head injury kept him out the side for a while.

hopefully we can get a decent fee and let him go for his own career.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - He won't be worth very much.}

23 Jun 2021 16:13:24
*hopefully we can get a fee.
