For ED002 please:

Morning Ed. So I know I'm not alone speculating and trying to work out who we may get when Jurgen leaves and I know it's pointless as the club will do it's due diligence and I trust them to get it right ?
However, no harm in having a go so here's my opinion. I'd be interested in your thoughts

I personally think Xabi or ZZ.
Xabi for 2 reasons - his connection with the club and fans plus the amazing job he's doing at BL.
ZZ because I have vague memories of the club rumoured to have an interest previously and his pedigree.

But there's another out there that looks an interesting prospect, Ruben Amorin.

Apparently Pep is rumoured to have said he's the best out there, he has a win % of nearly 70% (appreciate this relates to Braga and Sporting CP) and he's only 39. He has a positive mindset, good energy, has a drive to win and a good style of play.

I have read that the club are rumoured to be willing to pay his €20m release clause as well.

Do you think he'll be in the framed and seriously considered?

{Ed002's Note - Ruben Amorin (C) If the club, as you suggest, are possibly open to paying his "release clause", then matters are far more advanced than I know about. It seems unlikely to me and others would be better placed than him.}

I really like ruben amorim he has achieved a lot in his short career he speaks english if he has a genuine desire to manage us i would be happy, he is going under the radar but could be a shrewd option.

Xabi Alonso has to be the clear favourite. Not only is he doing brilliantly at Leverkusen challenging Bayern's supremacy but he's worked under some of the best coaches including Benitez, Mourinho, Ancelotti and Guardiola as a player. Him also having played for Liverpool for 5 years is the icing on the cake. He is one of us, understands the culture of the club, the city and the fan's desire for success.

Put a good structure around him and it's a no brainer.

Also, imagine what impact he could have on the careers of young players like Stefan Bajcetic.

Zidane? Not sure he has the appetite to immerse himself into the club, culture and city. This is a pre-requisite for any Liverpool manager. It always strikes me that he could only ever manage Real, Juventus or France.

Zidane would be bottom of my list. Im surprised Nagelsmann doesn't get more of a mention but maybe that would depend on how successful Germany is this summer.

Zz is a no go for me I just don’t see him working within the structure we have and could see fall outs .

The club were going for ZZ way back in the 90’s along with the Brazilian Ronaldo ?

Ah those were the days….

Alonso has been a manager for 18 months. He hasn't won anything yet, the season isn't over. He looks good in a league that usually only 1 team has a chance of winning.
