That might be true Lee, but neither can we. We give far too many chances away in most games, but have often been saved by Ali.

I didn't watch the game other than highlights, but Spurs were minutes away from losing that game. and City didn't lose.

I watched the game. Spurs attacked City in the first half and it should have been all over by half time. They were torn apart by City and if they hadn't missed so many chances (including 2 Haaland sitters) Spurs would have been out of it.
In the second half City got complacent and lazy and tired towards the end allowing Spurs back into it - just like they did to Chelsea and us. The key is not going for the jugular at the start, it is staying in the game until they drop off the pace in the second half and then going for them.

What Template, Leek? For years Spurs and Liverpool consistently (along with a few others like Wolves) have shown that City can be beaten or take points of them by playing this way. No new ground has been broken here.
The problem s that majority of teams do not play this way cos either they can't or they can and refuse to do it and take risks. You may get battered (like Spurs could have been) or you stay in the game long enuff and City will give you chances and if you are clinical like Spurs and Chelsea were, you get something.

City have always struggled when teams have taken it to them. That is nothing new.
Teams thinking they can soak it up and hit them on the break plays into their hands both in terms of how they attack and the way they carry out fouls to break up attacks defensively.
What has tended to happen with pep’s city is when a team concedes they turn over and get their tummy tickled. If you are brave enough and you can your chance you can get at them.
