Ed02. Love your work and I know this should go to the European pages but you seem most active here so I thought I'd take a stab and try to get lucky. Aaron Mooy has been the standout for the Australian team and I was wondering if any premier league clubs are interested? Thanks for all you do even if you don't reply.
{Ed002's Note - This came up before. Melbourne's Aaron Mooy has been subject of declared interest from Al-Nassr, Watford and Feyenoord with Schalke 04 also known to have been watching him. The club has no interest in selling at this time.}

I can tell you that if a decent European club like Schalke came in with a reasonable offer, Melb City would accept and Mooy would be off in a heartbeat.

Watched a few games in the Aussie league last year, I can tell you it is very poor.

And Fencey, it's still lightyears ahead of where it was 12 years ago at the league's inception. It will improve, but the grassroots coaching needs to be so much better. The sport has the highest participation rate amongst youth in the country, there is an abundance of parks and other facilities suitable for the game, yet the overall level of skill and technique is still far behind the rest of the world. Perhaps it is that actual lack of confined space - unlike South America and Europe - that to some degree inhibits the development of skill on the ball.
