Once the dm situation is resolved in Jan, then we will see mac have an impact like made, who couldn't do what he's doing with sar and bissouma behind him.
So imo macs doing a job. Not the job he's best at, nor the one we intend for him.

The manager has said he is happy with our midfield in particular McAllister in the deepest role, personally i think he is better further up the pitch as almost a defensive number 10 or a combative 8. Just like we need a reliable right back and Left sided defender a specialist Defensive midfielder is crucial.

@Humble what happens if we want to sign a particular player but his club doesn’t want to sell, or they ask for too much money or the player wants to go somewhere else? You seem pretty certain that the “situation” is going to be resolved?

was thinking of all the midfielders in our team not named Endo or Bajcetic, the one I would play out of position at 6 would be Szobo. the guy can play anywhere in midfield and he has the engine and legs to fill the gaps we will have in the 6 position.

Steven Gerrard got played out of position many times.
It didn't seem to create a problem for him or the team the majority of the time.
It seemed to cause more issues with expert fans than anyone else.

You don't need to be an expert to point out that playing a very good KDB in the holding role is a dumb move. The club splashed £17 mill on a DM and if the manager doesn't fancy him, then raise your eyebrows and challenge him instead of the posters.

I thought my comment was obvious. Out of the options we have currently, I’d go with Szobo at 6 as he can do everything in midfield. Different conversation about we could sign or which of our CDMs (Endo, Baj) should actually start at CDM.
But given Klopp obviously doesn’t trust Endo nor see Trent in that role, then I’m saying we should put the Szobo square into that round hole!

I might be completely wrong, but I have a feeling we haven't walked away from the Andre deal yet. Presumably it is the usual transfer dance we do - looking for the player to declare a desire to move to LFC before we start negotiating.
If interest in Andre has moved on, then perhaps Manu Kone could be a consideration. Some concerns about his injury record though.
Gabriel Moscardo at Corinthians is really young (18). Looks like a young Fabinho in terms of style. While it would be fun to bring another Brasilian youngster, I can't see it with Bajcetic (also 18) coming through in that position. Sounds like he's off to Chelsea or PSG anyway.
Feyenoord's Mats Wieffer is a name that has been popping up. I have not watched him so couldn't possibly comment.
