Hopefully 2nite we start sharper than we have done lately and be more clinical upfront. last 2 games have followed similar pattern, start v slow go 1 down lucky not 2 down, then around 30min mark dominate for 30-45 get ahead but fail to get 3rd r 4th to put to bed. Utd caught us at end Brighton could've but didn't.
I think that the 2 things we need to improve on in the run in to be successful, everything else has been pretty much excellent.
Hopefully gakpo comes into bit of form 2nite, I think he will start.

If Gakpo starts firing again and that coincides with Jota's return i think we'll have enough firepower to hold off City and Arsenal regardless of our run in.

Having Jota back could be instrumental.
His ability to find the back of the net at critical moments would be a massive advantage.

Jota has an unerring ability to find himself in the right place at the right time and even more importantly he’s happy to get an early shot away and more often than not it’s on target. Having that in the forward line will help massively in tight games.

Keep a clean sheet guys, we need one.

Endo not starting and not on the bench tonight. Has anyone heard of an injury? I hope he's just been given the night off!

Probably a night off ArAy as Sheffield United shouldn’t (in theory) be as tough an opponent as United at the weekend.

{Ed001's Note - he has a knock.}

People underestimate gakpo he is a squad rotation left winger who is flexible and been played everywhere but left wing . He deserves patience.

People were here telling me that Jayden Danns (who I love before these same people come for me) should start ahead of Gakpo. Absolute Waffle. Gakpo showed that he was struggling cos he had played well too many games in a short space of time with that run of 4 games in 11 days where he and Diaz were running on fumes with Salah, Darwin and Jota out injured.

Yesterday, you could see that the rest he has had did him good. He was sharp in his runs, quick decision-making and scored a boss goal with a brilliant run (awesome assist by Robbo who was boss as well) . As @Hailstones said, people seem to lack patience to be able to persevere with a player who is just struggling for form and shoot their shot too early. Relax, it's fine for a player to be off form. It's literally just football.
