'Long queue of world class managers waiting in the wings'
Can anyone even name a couple of 'world class' managers who would leave their club for us? The only one I would say is world class and may potentially move is Conte.
Klopp was into his Mourinho phase, living off what he had done previously rather than what he was currently doing. In fact he resembled Slot currently in the decisions he was making too. He'd be a disaster coming back.
Glasner is an awful manager who had a short purple patch, he gets sacked by Palace if he remains on a new contract, or will get sacked in his next role.
Iraola would be the interesting one, Conte would probably thrive with our kind of backup. Enrique may potentially be interested to experience the challenge of the PL.
I've got a feeling we don't do as bad as people are anticipating in these next 4 games and Slot just about scrapes through to the Jan window.

You've got to wonder what Van Bronkhurst is adding in the back room and how they are coaching players. Last season Grav was a revelation. This season, Ekitike aside and Szobo (to a degree) nearly ALL have gone backwards.
The thinking that Rio can replace Diaz is pure delusion . As is then assumption that go can send a load of money and blow teams across the PL out of the water. We're not a physical team (oh for the days of Fab, Hendo and Gini) and have become a complete pushover and easy to bully.
The run of games hasn't helped . those persons at BT always schedule and sniff out a tough away game for us. Of the past 6 games played, 5 (83%) have been away from home . plus an International break, added to a few injuries making us even softer.
Its clear that we have completely forgotten to play away from home . Galatasaray was testament to that. We only won in Germany because Eintracht Frankfurt can't defend . We kept up our habit of giving an early goal away though. That's a bit of consistency.

Klopp would be the one for me. Even if it is a 6 month thing while we find someone else for the long term role.
Klopps energy and enthusiasm may be exactly what the squad need right now.

Not something we have to worry about right now however forgetting the cup game the 3 leading up to the next international break could be decisive. I can't see Conte leaving top of the table Napoli or Enrique whilst defending the league and Champions league. Ireola is interesting again i wouldn't have thought he would jump ship whilst Bournemouth are doing well but you never know.
Unemployed list includes Zidane, Xavi, Mancini, Spalletti and the likes of Gerrard, Postecoglu, Ten Hag and Southgate.
Ancellotti always spoke warmly of us but is with Brazil.

Perhaps Linders is still having an effect.
When we won the league I can’t for the life of me remember Linders or Heitinga getting praised for building it all with their training sessions.
