Seems like we are in for Carla or ederson. If we are looking at those options wouldn't trying for ugarte seem like it would be the best fit for us and seems like they are in the same price range?

Ugarte couldn’t make an impact at PSG because he’s not good enough with the ball. Mascherano type midfielders died out a long time ago. Even Masch himself finished his career at CB. You have to be able to be creative from deep as well nowadays to succeed at DM in a big club because whether we like it or not, Pep Guardiola has changed the landscape of modern football. So much so that average managers like Kompany are getting the biggest jobs in Europe just because they replicate Pep’s style and played under him. Ugarte is just a hatchet man so he doesn’t fit the possession based ethos dominating the top of the sport.
Ederson and Varela are just better footballers in my opinion and if we want to be better than City and Arsenal next year we need top footballers. Ugarte is a Spurs/ United Europa league level signing.

definitely agree with Ugarte. Great at what he does but he reminds me a bit of Lucas Torreira. great runner, ball winner but probably needed a bit more on the ball to compliment and last in PL. Difficult to have it all like a Kante tho lol
Plus I really don't think we need to spend gazillions on a CDM. While we have Endo here and Baj, we have some flexibility to bring in a prospect who can grow into a starting role.

If Ugarte can't use the ball well and lacks the ability required on the ball then, what would he be doing here? Endo is a lot better than Ugarte on the ball if that is true so sorry, he can do one. We need a lot better than him to help us.
