Hello ed1 hope u well. How do u see game going at weekend? I think we have forward power to cause them a lot of problems but don't see us being good enough defensively to hold them. Although we have good defensive record on paper this season when u watch us we don't seem secure.

I don’t see the what all the fuss is about with city. I think they’re crap. It’s not a team that excites or scares me. They’re jammy, mostly because they get away with all sorts. grealish to throw himself on the floor as per the norm whilst Rodri is pushing and kicking us . Hopefully we don’t fall for any of it .

Scouse John - I agree with all of the second part of your viewpoint, but City obviously aren’t crap. They are an amazing but not extraordinary team, yet one that has never been as good as the sheer amount of money required to put it together says it should be.
I don’t expect us to win, personally, mostly because I feel even we underperform away at City annually, miss a load of easy chances and find ourselves two goals down out of nowhere. That said, City are a lot less ominous without KDB marauding round lasering passes everywhere.

Not an easy game or performance to predict given the kick off time and it being after an international break. Our best performances against City have always been evening games where there is a hot atmosphere.
On a side note, it is ridiculous that Manchester police have classed this game as high risk. A massive overreaction as far as I am concerned.

In the sense that they ‘get the job done’, City are excellent - they remind me of Revie’s Leeds in the late 60’s / 70’s. If you go back a bit when Aguerro, Silva, Kompany etc we’re on song they were capable of playing very good football which was entertaining to watch. Now imho they tend to be efficient rather than entertaining, steam rolling teams who stand off them. They are vulnerable if you get in their face and hit them on the counter attack. I’ve no doubt that if we play to our potential we are good enough to beat them.

I wonder if he'll start or whether Klopp will bring him into the fray on the hour mark to terrorise City's tiring defence.
I have a sneaking feeling he has a big part to play in this fixture.

I think we beat them I really do
Obviously they can whack 2/ 3 goals past you in a blink of an eye but il be honest I think the team tinkerer (guardiola) will try something different again and I just think we have the pace and guile to have the answers to what they throw at us . What I would say is though . If we win this game the media wil be all over us for the title and as of up to now it’s mostly been city Arsenal and spurs mentioned and I think that suits us while we are still gelling so be good to see the lads with the pressure on them . On our day we as good as anyone let’s hope Saturday 12.30 (again ) we turn up and turn them over ??????.

You need pace to beat ManCity on the break. If Diaz, Nunez and Salah start I give us half a chance to get some kind of positive result.

I wouldn’t go that far Ed I don’t think the winner of this game wins the title, far from it.
I can see it being tight with both teams just wanting the game out of the way given the timing of it. 12.30 Saturday kick off after an international break for one of the biggest games of the season is just ridiculous.
Both will keep it tight and slow then try to win it late on if it’s still there to be won.

25 - I have to agree unfortunately. Especially the timing of the game etc. A tight low scoring game can still be a classic, but needs both teams to be near their peak. Let’s see. Good opportunity for our guys to get a leg up in the race.

Ed25, too early to say it is a title decider, man. For me, it is too early to tell of we are in a title challenge already so I don't believe all this stuff about it cos it seems people are doing way too much to make it look like we are whereas, not yet IMO. If we are where we are now in the final 3rd for the season then, let's go get it so let's wait and see.
As for the game tmrw, I have no idea who will play or what the lineup will be esp. with the South American bros. and all that so I can't even say how the game will play out. Either way, I hope we give our best no matter what and see where the chips fall.

Nice one, Kloppers. If the guys are fit to play then, we start them all with a forward line of Darwin, Salah and Diaz. The speed and pace in that forward line on the counter, will keep City honest when they are in possession.
