I really do like Slot. He delivered another PL title and for that, I’ll always respect him. But as much as it pains me to say it, I just don’t think he’s the man to turn things around anymore. If he was, we’d have seen signs of it by now. Maybe I’m being impatient? but there’s been no improvement at all, and if anything, we’re going backwards.
I genuinely thought we’d go there, grab the three points, and finally see a spark of the team we know we can be. Instead, that was arguably our worst performance yet. There are just no signs of progress, and in times like these, we should be seeing at least some positive changes. Losing is one thing, but losing while looking completely lost on the pitch is another. We’ve got too much quality in this squad to be performing this badly. Something’s clearly not right. I’m not calling for his head out of frustration, but for the good of Liverpool, I think change might be necessary.
We’ve got a team like this, yet we’re playing like a side that’s run out of ideas. As much as I like Slot, it feels like the time has come to move on. I honestly think we’ll be looking for a new manager by mid November if this continues.
One thing I will say though is that I don’t blame the players. We all know what they’re capable of. Singling them out feels wrong when the entire team looks off. This is on Slot and the coaching staff.

Konate is stinking it out week in week out, Salah isn't tracking back or pressing and you don't blame the players?

A well measured piece, Salah. Where I do disagree, is the players also have to take their share of responsibility, especially the senior ones like VVD, Salah and Konate. Regards to VVD and Salah, I always felt this would be their last season. As it stands, it looks like a season too many.
Ultimately, you're right, it is on Slot, as players don't get the sack. I don't envisage us making any rash decisions in the way that Chelsea do, and can see Slot having the rest of the season to sort things out. At the end of the day, what are our options, mid season?

Salah, Slot will get the chop if things don't improve quickly. That is the fate of every manager for the most part. The only reason Klopp didn't get sacked in the 22/ 23 season was cos of the credit he had in the bank.
Slot doesn't have that esp. with the funds dumped on this team this summer and the windows to come. Slot is messing with people's money and that won't fly.

I definitely would not pull the trigger right now.
He has definitely earned a longer shot to turn this around.

Who is available mid season? Anyone better than Slot? Iraola has Bournmouth flying and is unlikely to leave mid season.
Who are the managers Carra spoke of?
