I disagree. It’d be nice but I just don’t think we’re quite there. Feels like we’re better over a marathon rather than a cup ‘sprint’. Happy to be wrong though as long as we win the marathon as well.

We'll win the league but not so sure on the CL. With the team we have though, once the lads are all settled who really knows - we're more than capable of it.

CL always comes down timing and luck of the draws.
For us, the last 16 ties are the ones which tend to come around when we've dropped off a little before the spring comes around again.
Last season, PSG came at a terrible time for us. Mo was right at the beginning of his fasting month and we'd been stuttering through winter after a perfect festive period.
We either go out in last 16 or make it to the final. Nothing in between lol.

Fully agree, Pelican. that PSG tie hit us at the wrong spot and ironically after that tie, we got the Cup final vs a team by the manager's own admission said they have been preparing for weeks prior. Those games came at the wrong time and we struggle.
Let's just hope we are in some good form esp. physically should the last 16 games come around.
