Fantastic game and performance that last night.
Worlds apart from Burnley on Sunday. Few areas still to Work on but the positives far outweighed the negatives.
Looking forward to the derby on Saturday now.

I thought the team played really well. Wirtz and Salah looked great. Gravy was fantastic. Two unlucky goals conceded for me. Should have scored a couple more.
Of our back 5 I think 3 f them get in our all time 11!

Close call on a few. Didn't see sounds. Rush and Barnes were superstars when I started watching and loving liverpool, but I was obsessed with John Barnes as a kid. Rush ir Fowler, it's all good.

Would have been criminal for us to drop points in that game, pundits saying we are defensively suspect as usual but the second goal they scored was honestly a freak goal and a fluke, whereas we should have scored two or three more besides the ones we actually scored.

Agree @StE - the bloke effectively blocked Ali off by obstructing his view in an offside position by at least a yard and the second goal of theirs was a freaky deflection. We had at 5he very least three chances that would have / could have gone in on a different day - two for Mo and one for Hugo. Could easily have been 5 - 0.
Simeone is a deeply unlikeable man, add spitting to his diving, whining playing career and his cynical, negative teams as a manager.

StEtienneAmen, my point exactly. That goal should not have stood. As for the second goal, it's a deflection even tho, I think Bradley did not defend the start of that attack enuff to stop the cross.
As for our defence, we limited Atleti to very, very few chances BUT we concede off a deflection and an offside goal and oh, we gave nothing away to Arsenal and Burnley. Our defence is getting better, IMO.
