Tough game Palace, they deserved it.
Yes we gave them a lot of chances, however that's why we have Ali.
Not going to win every game, onto the next.
They positive peeps.

As per last season, this is what I'd class a normal title race. We will all drop points. Just got to get back on the horse next week.
Hopefully this is the kick up the backside we needed. It's been coming and hopefully we can press the reset button and kick on.

I said before the season started that I was a bit concerned about the amount of change we’d made all at once. I was surprised at how well we seemed to be doing so far TBH but I agree with WYred here, it’s one game from all those we’ve played to date and Palace are flying right now, it’s by no means a season defining result.

A bad day at the office. Slot has to take his share of the blame on this one with the setup but also the last set of subs.
We knew how Palace would play so we don’t have any excuses for being surprised or unprepared.
Konate and Macca had shockers. Szobo was moved around so much. The narrow setup played right into Palace hands. And where was the counterpress and attempts to win second balls?
Alisson is incredible.
I’m sure we will respond to this.

I haven't seen the full match yet, i understand we didn't play well. But, Palaces first goal, its clearly not a corner. Secondly, the Isak chance, he is clearly fouled just before he goes for goal, if he goes down on contact its a pen. Two vital decisions, with all the tech available its still wrong. Yes we didn't deserve anything from the game, that doesn't change wrong decisions. Maybe the wake up call we need. Slot needs to decide where Wirtz plays. I thought being in the front 3 would suit him more, hope it works soon.

I don't know if I'm hopelessly biased, but I honestly was surprised that the Isak chance wasn't reviewed by VAR for a pen, Lacroix stepped on his foot before he could get a shot away and then he had his shirt pulled. Maybe Isak himself didn't make enough of a meal out of the challenge? Who knows.

Spot on, Pelican. Place plays the way they play and there are no secrets involved YET for us to set up the way we did and approach the game th way we did, is unacceptable. Wirtz on the left going against speed demons like Munoz and Saar in transition whenever we lose the ball? We were literally asking to get battered and in the game for the first half at least, we were and could have been, goals-wise. Slot has to hold the L and do better.

PB as for Isak, I saw Lacroix step on his foot BUT to his credit, Isak stayed on his feet and tried to score. Had he gone down, it would have been a pen, for sure. Hats off to him. Can't say the same for many other players I could mention.
