Liverpool have reportedly shut down 145,000 ticket accounts in the past 2 years in an effort to crackdown on ticket touts. While this is good news, I also think they need to take a look closer to home. The amount of tickets being sold as hospitality every game is a joke and the prices are scandalous. A £60 ticket is being sold for £400-£600 just because you get a bit of food. I firmly believe this is one of the main reasons the atmosphere has gone downhill the past few years, genuine working class, match going fans are being priced out of the game!

JK_RED, I totally agree with you about the atmosphere. Like you say, give some of the hospitality back to locals, however, I suppose you then deprive people, from all around the world, having their once in a lifetime opportunity. The club want the tourist spectator, because they spend hundreds in the club shop. When I go I might buy a 3 quid cup of coffee, if I'm feeling flush! I was staggered by the 145 thousand ticket accounts. Shows how massive we are.

Why don't they have at look at some of the travel sites and ticket master charging £200/ £300 just for tickets, it's an absolute joke. Was quoted £660 for 3 tickets last year and that wasn't hospitality either.

An Anfield match is definitely in my bucket list but man those prices are steep. Always have to multiply by around 20 for my countries currency too.

No one wants hospitality, yet everyone wants shiny new players every season with salaries that need to be paid for….

@drogie, so you’re saying the only way we can fund new signings is to rip off the fans? Interesting viewpoint.
