I like many others on here just cannot understand what Slot's thinking is with his tactics.

I know the league in Holland is a totally different standard but
his tactics were quite clear to see. His back four was made up of two centre halves and the two fullbacks also had considerable experience of playing centre half and would invert into midfield to help overload the midfield.
Our current fullbacks are the exact opposite. None have experience of playing as centre halves and have built their careers as bombing forwards overlapping fullbacks.
In Holland he played with two 6/ 8's who were good on the ball but also mobile and reasonably physical.
We now have midfielders who are good on the ball but lack any physicality and do not recognize or anticipate danger.
His wingers would provide the width and would get to the byline and pull the ball back between the six yard box and edge of the area for the striker, no 10 and midfielders.
They did this so effectively as a team they were known as the kings of the cutback.
He has never implemented this at Liverpool.
He just seems totally lost tactically this season and our signings do not seem to fit a system He used to implement so well.

What is very concerning is his stubberness not to change, I don't mind that he tried a new system but it has failed, we are 4 months into the season and clearly it is not working.

Change direction or he will be gone I think.

I think the indicative lack of any sort of plan being worked towards is the main issue with this forums members, myself included, rather than the actual results. Said it at the start of the season and will say it again, I'm getting Rodgers vibes, only difference is the league competition was so poor last year we won the title, whereas Rodgers came up against a good City team in the year of Suarez.
