Ed’s and everyone else
Going by reports I’ve read the board are still willing to give Slot time to turn this around .
.
Unlike the vast majority that post on here I’m no tactical expert but I’m seeing a team so devoid of any sort of confidence that Slots man management is now causing massive concerns and the spiral of form is so poor that the present set up can’t, won’t find a way through this .
.
I’m not suggesting there’s a relegation worry here but form and confidence says otherwise?
I never thought we’d lose so badly today and was convinced we’d see an improvement especially after the poor performance against city so Slots inability to raise this team is becoming a huge factor in moving forward and I can see us coming a cropper against West Ham?!
IF this happens what do you think will be the cut off point for the board in relation to Slots future as if there hasn’t been before the time has surely now come for there to be a genuine discussion about a change?

I think that the team actually played reasonably well up until the point that we conceded, we looked like we had a plan moving the ball through the lines and out wide, and everybody looked like they knew what they were supposed to be doing. And that's the worrying thing, because once that goal went in, heads dropped and we never looked like we were going to really threaten again however much possession the other team ceded to us, that's not something we've seen from a Liverpool team for a long time.
I think the concerning thing for me is that we can look confident and create a lot of half decent chances and then concede a cheap goal once the other team gets a shot on target, I'm not sure I've ever seen us look this brittle, every time the other team gets past the halfway line I expect them to get into the box and score or have a shot on target, and every time we concede a set piece I think there's a high likelihood that the other team will score.

We lack organisation and defensive nous in midfield, yet again. Too easy to play through and when out of possession, Jones and Mac Allister were absolutely hopeless, absolute soft touch. We were playing a physical side yesterday but we had all the physical presence of a carrier bag blowing about in a hurricane. Same old rubbish, week in week out.

I agree VV. Our midfield was extremely soft last night. Macca, Jones, and Grav were completely anonymous both in attack and defence. I think it is tactical rather than due to personnel though. It was never this bad last season.
We did look good before we conceded but it is concerning how quickly we imploded once we did concede.

But that’s my concern now . Slots inability to raise this team and the drop off in their confidence has ravaged the team . They’re either not listening or don’t want to .
Palace and Chelsea away they fought back and although the performances weren’t great they lost to really late goals but could and should have taken points . Even against Utd they fought back twice and should have won it . It’s the Brentford, City and Forrest game where the belief seemed to vanish and although you could say a side with so many experienced players should be able to raise themselves the management and staff should be getting the team going?
I remember rough periods of form under Klopp but I always felt he had the team and he had the ability to get the passion into the side along with crowd - atm there is no sign the Slot has this in him.

From Klopps team that nobody wanted to face, to this laid back, wishy-washy, Kill them with rondo's style is a massive fall from grace.
Arne alone is not responsible for the vision but he's starting to look way out of his depth at a big club with a different structure in place.
For me he's just too limp in his appraisals. At first he finds excuses, including throwing some players under the bus. Now he kind of accepts ownership, but unconvincingly. He is stubborn and refuses to accept that his vision is not suitable to the here and now.
We'll beat PSV and then struggle against Nuno's hammers at a guess.

I wonder if Ibou's impending move, Alexi's possible move and Isak's fitness concerns mean they are all a bit less committed to the duels?

I don't think Ibou was shirking out of duels? It's just that when he makes a mistake, he can't seem to recover and proceeds to have a stinker until he's taken out, I don't think he's had to reckon with having a seemingly extended bad spell of form in his career and he looks kind of lost at the moment.
Bizarre because he looked as confident as anybody else on the team the first 40 mins, then he gave away a soft corner, we conceded and he was completely lost at sea afterwards. He still won his aerial duels and passed the ball as well as he could but one on ones with Igor he was a liability.
What i'm wondering is why Ibou is always the center half tasked with progressing the ball in our setup? Why isn't the other way around with ibou passing it to Virgil to pass it forward? I get that sometimes the opposing team close off Virgil to isolate Ibou and force him to progress the ball, but even when there's no pressure konate is the one passing the ball forward.

You don't win games when your own players are pulling out of tackles . YNWA.
