Ed01, if you’re about, what’s your take on midweek’s match vs PSV?
Think Slot will bench Konaté and give Gomez a go? Or if not, just play Gomez at RB so Szobo can start in midfield?
Also, do you see him starting Chiesa instead of Gakpo or Mo? (if Wirtz still isn’t fit)
Would it surprise you if he makes these changes and we win midweek, then goes straight back to his usual XI and tactics against West Ham?
I know just changing players won’t do much if our tactics are still rubbish….

We should beat PSV even on one leg… if Arne loses the next 2 matches, he might not even see December as Liverpool manager… I mean, by that point, one got to stop the rot!

I think he will play exactly as we do in the Prem (a few changes but the basic setup will be the same) .
I also think that we will win the game because the setup and tactics are more suited to European football.
Every body will say "at last we are turning a corner". Then at the weekend we will play the same way again and we will struggle and concede at least 2 soft goals on the way to losing against West Ham and everybody will be even angrier than they are now and asking why our most consistent midfielder is playing at right back instead of the right-backs that are on the bench, asking why Ekitike is being dropped for an unbelievably out of form Isak, asking why Konate, Macca and Salah are all seemingly undroppable despite being woeful all season, asking what is is we actually pay the defensive coaches to do, asking why tall powerful defenders are incapable of heading the ball, asking why strong muscly defenders are so easily shrugged off the ball and asking why we are trying the same unsuccessful tactics over and over ad nauseam.
Sorry. I'm ranting again.

There are a handful of really good teams in the champions league, but a couple of those are English, the rest aren’t great. It’s no real barometer of things if we win mid week, but it may help build a bit of confidence. Surely Isak or Wirtz are due a goal.

It'd be nice to get some positivity back into the team with a good result vs PSV.
Personally I think Slot made a mistake in not rotating in the Villa-Real-City week.
So I hope, he rotates the troops. assuming fitness I would rotate Konate for Gomez. Actually, let me re-phrase on this one specifically - I would dump Konate out of the match day squad for Gomez and bring Rhys Williams to the bench.
Ramsay at RB, Robbo at LB.
Midfield - Jones, Dom as a base. Wirtz ahead of them
Attack - Chiesa, Ekitike, Mo.
