Liverpool v Nottingham Forest - A Quick Liverpool Perspective

{Ed's Note - Ed001 has posted a new article entitled, Liverpool v Nottingham Forest - A Quick Liverpool Perspective

A damning match report of a damning performance, and a club looking increasingly damned. In light of the PSV result I cannot see how Slot continues much longer. The performances have been identical since he seasons beginning, we just happened to get luck - now we aren’t getting it we have capitulated. Incredible how bad the team look honestly.

Thanks, as always, for the game review Ed. Sadly, we’re so poor at the moment, its a grim read.
Here’s hoping for better days to come.

Every game is the same. Nothing changes. He never gets sacked.

Just keep losing until January and throw another £250m at it.

27 Nov 2025 08:25:40
Yep. that was pretty much what I expected to read. how much longer does he have left?

I want to back any manager that's in the hot seat but it seems he's being stubborn. Not blaming him solely though as you quite rightly point out there's a lot of players not putting the hard work in or being physical enough.

It's unacceptable!

27 Nov 2025 07:51:53
Thanks for the write up Ed; as depressing as that was to read I’m sure it’s a lot worse for you to write about.

The PSV result obviously didn’t help. Why do you think the approach was changed after villa and RM? Or is it more to do with how their teams were set up?

{Ed001's Note - Slot doesn't think that style is sustainable.}

My good god your a real warrior have to wade through carp again ed001. Thanks though.

{Ed001's Note - stupid is the word you are looking for!}

There have been worse players, there have been better players, but no player I've seen in a red shirt has been as unanimously overrated as Mac Allister. "Lily-livered" really made me chuckle.

I'm happy to defend my position, but I genuinely think Mac Allister is the most clear symptom that Slot has lost his way. The player he puts so much unearned trust in has turned out to be a rank-average weakling of a midfielder, and Slot's inability to see and respond to it is highly symptomatic as to why he will likely deservedly lose his job.

27 Nov 2025 09:57:21
When you think you have lost everything, you can always lose that little bit more.

27 Nov 2025 10:35:00
That must have been painful to write Ed, but I'm just not sure what the answer is, it's like that PSG match last season has really affected him since! Can he change tactics or is the only option, sacking him?

{Ed001's Note - he could change tactics, but it doesn't seem like he has the right people in his ear. He has never really got the Prem, he refuses to accept the need for physicality. I think, very sadly, he needs to go.}

27 Nov 2025 12:35:38
I don't always agree with you on everything, Ed001, but I do on that review.
I said it last season about the midfield and before that about Konate but ending games by taking off defenders and midfielders and bringing on any attacking player is madness when we are already wide open.

{Ed001's Note - it drives me mad watching it.}
